Product Overview

  • Prolific fruit producer
  • Perfect patio plant
  • Strong grower
Now you, too, can enjoy the incredible taste of fresh limes picked right from your own tree. Clusters of fragrant white flowers sometimes tinged with light purple along the edges bloom among attractive, glossy green leaves. Limes begin to appear in the spring and as they mature they help to provide visual interest for the remainder of the year. Extremely hardy and easy to grow indoors, the edible fruit can be enjoyed in beverages, in cooking and as garnishes.
  • 1.5 year old tree is larger and has a more fully developed root system and branches than the tree available in the metal pot with handles
  • Fun and fast-growing
  • Self-pollinating, so only 1 tree is needed to produce fruit
  • Glossy evergreen foliage provides the background for oval-shaped green fruit
  • Excellent teacher appreciation and housewarming gifts
  • Lime trees adapt well to container culture and require transplanting to a larger, well-draining container as needed
  • Prefer sunny location
  • Grows 6 ft. to 8 ft. tall
  • Plant 15 ft. apart
  • Perennial in zones 8-12
  • Growing instructions: lime trees are great indoor and outdoor patio plants, for best results, within 4 to 6 weeks of receiving your tree, transplant it into a larger pot that drains well and is approximately 8 in. to 12 in. in diameter to give the roots room to grow, in the spring move your potted tree outdoors into full sun when the threat of frost is past, bring it back indoors in the fall before the frost season begins, fertilize regularly with high nitrogen formula, 5-3-3 ratio, water thoroughly while letting the surface soil dry between watering, do not overwater, prune by pinching back the tips of new growth toward the interior branches, remove any new growth or stems near the soil

They were green in the box so I have to assume they started on the tree, but I did not pay over $50 for it to arrive in such bad condition. They required it to be returned for credit. UPS picked it up at the door, and I was credited. I went to a local nursery and bought one for half the price.
