Can I use this with a router bit with 2" Cutter Diameter?

I will use this router table with a porter cable router 690, Can I use this router table with this router with a bit with 2" Cutter Diameter1" Cutter Height ? thanks
Asked by: rafael
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use a 2" diameter router bit with our RA1181 router table. This router table includes three tabletop inserts: 1" diameter for use with bits with diameters up to 7/8"; 2" diameter for use with bits up to 1-7/8"; 2-3/4" diameter for use with bits up to 2-5/8" and no insert is used for bits with diameters over 2-5/8" and up to 3-1/2". Do not use bits over 3-1/2" diameter.

Thanks for your question. Yes, the face plates can be adjusted to allow for use with larger bits. The maximum fence opening is 3-3/16"

Asked by: Jason
UPDATE: So I but the bullet and bought this router table. It is exactly 27" and fits perfectly between the rails of my Delta contractor table saw. The slots in the outer edge however, do not line up. Modifications are required. Modifications do however void any and all warranties. Make sure you're happy with the router table before cutting into it.

I must've accidentally banged the front with some lumber and this caused the on/off switch panel to break off the base. All kinds of crumbled plastic bits too which I thought was odd, figuring this would be ABS and more resilient to getting hit by a piece of dropped lumber. I rebuilt the on/off panel with 1/4" luan and used construction adhesive. Actually stiffened the table up nicely. I've never seen a plastic anything crumble like this base does. Both the base legs and the on/off panel got damaged and crumbled near the 4 attachment screws. Maybe China switched from the good plastic to the cheap stuff when Bosch wasn't looking?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Table I Have Ever Owned I do basic craft and hobby woodwork, plaques, picture frames, fly tying tables, along with some small furniture. I have found the RA1181 to be the most stable easy to use table based on my past 20 years experience. The aluminum table is smooth and flat, the fence adjusts easy and allows for easy depth to the bit adjustments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Router Table w/aluminum top I read reviews about this router table and they said some routers didn't fit the router plate. I thought owning a Bosch 1617 router that all the holes would match the base as this was the reason I purchased the Bosch table. Unfortunately the plat only had drill holes for 2 of the 4 screws but luckily the were across from each other so the router mounted solidly. This is a note for anyone from Bosch reviewing these reviews that if you make a product, make sure it fits your own routers. I would give this router table 5 stars if not for these reasons. When I finally put this table to work it performed very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This table along with the 1617EVSPK Router Combo replaced an old Craftsman fixed base router and a table that I had made. The ease of use and precision I can achieve are head and shoulders better than what I used to have. At some point I will be buying the RA1165 base to leave permanently mounted to the table, freeing up my fixed base. I would buy this again or recommend it to a friend in a heart beat. I find that I use the jointing feature a lot. It works great jointing small stuff and does a passable job with larger stuff.

Solid, quality looks good. Enough holes in plate for just about any router. I have Parkinson's disease so assembly gave me a few problems. Used sockets where possible. I have a straight Allen wrench to fit adjusting screws for mounting plate, used it in a drill for coarse adjusting, enclosed wrench for final. Used Phillips bit in drill to secure plate to table, regular Phillips screw driver for final tightening so as not to over tighten. Used clamps to hold power strip to table, freeing hands to insert screws. Even so, took longer than it would have with full use of my hands. Plan to use it today, (9/20/17). Expect to use it often, expect a lot out of it. Feel I made a very good choice!

What I don't like is the aluminum top. Not that it isn't level and stable, it is very rough and not anodized. It will make your hands black if you rub it. I have a lot of big commercial routers and needed a small one for quick jobs. This one will be mounted flush in a bigger table. Liked the numerous mounting holes for a variety of routers.
