Can this machine be connected to a water line

Can a water line be installed so that you do not need to add water to the reservoir?

The unit is 14.75in depth. The instructions are confusing for how far away from back wall is needed for aeration. It has to be 8.75 inches off the back wall?

I need to replace my powder/tablet drawer. Manual says it is part number 0209. Can't seem to find it anywhere to order. Machine won't work without it.
