Thanks for your question. The TS1005 zero clearance insert is designed for the 4100 table saw, it won't work with the GTS1031. The part number for the zero clearance insert for the GTS1031 is TS1012.

unit is made of plastic, so its lightly warped but usable; mounting hardware and adjusting screws are useful ; for the price I paid six dollars I think it will work very well; it is necessary to do a cut for the riving knife but I knew that

The TS1005 Zero Clearance Insert is designed to fit with 4000 and 4100 table saws. What type of saw do you have? If it is one of those, kindly return the insert to Home Depot for replacement is it is within 30 days from the purchase date or please contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from Mon-Fri 7A-7P CST for further assistance with this matter.
Have not really used it yet. Seems to fit well. Good price.

Poorly designed
Customer review from BoschTools.com logo
Spend 3x the price and by an after market plate. The TS1005 has 4 hold down screws that make it painful to take on and off to change the riving blade height. The 4 set screws used to adjust the insert so it is flush with the table are painful even come close because of the flexible nature of the insert material. The front can be high or low on either side, The middle can be high or low on either side, and the rear can be angled up or down on either side. The rear sides are not connected so it is almost impossible. Please don't tell me I can return it. By definition using the product renders it non-returnable. Here is a case where Bosch would do well to just OEM one of the better after market Zero Clearance Inserts and save everyone who orders a saw with accessories without reading the reviews for all of the pieces parts grief.

The Bosch TS1005 zero clearance insert is too thin and requires 4 screws to hold it down. The screws make it painful to get to the riving adjustment and/or to switch inserts to make bevel cuts. The thin material makes if hard to adjust to be flush with the table. The 4 set screws used to adjust the height are about 1/2" away from the hold down screws so adjusting the front, middle and rear heights on both sides independently is time consuming given the plate is a U shape with the rear open. After market zero clearance inserts are 3x the price but far less frustrating. The thin material also gets blade startup wobble nicks that quickly add up in the same location each time you start up at the same blade height. The after market inserts are much thicker and less prone to startup wobble nicks.

Small price but cheaply made
Customer review from BoschTools.com logo
Saw blade clatters against edge of plate after slot is cut because of flex. Not even worth the small price.
