      A:  You can use it as a spade bit for planting but I wouldn't try digging up a whole yard with it.

          A:  Thank you for your question. Are you trying to lift up pavers made of bed rock, or is this rock that is just in their front yard they are looking to demolish? The HS1465 is a tile remover, not a Chisel that you would normally use to break bedrock. To break away the Bedrock, I would recommend the HS1470, Bulldog Xtreme Flat. This allows you to chip away, and remove the bedrock easiest. If you use the flat chisel in existing cracks, or bedding planes, it’s easier to wedge it apart.             This product works pretty well if you don't try to take too much of an area at a time because the blade is a bit thin but the blade is very sturdy does a great job I find that pre-drilling the holes to half inch sizes and daisy chaining the holes from one to the other then using this bit seems to break the concrete down very well and gives you a little more control metal seems to be more than hard enough to do the job price is great in comparison for what you get!

            This chisel is being used to chip Laser cut residual metal slag from a Lower Work Chute of a large automated machine. The original chisel purchases, was cut into (2) pieces and a 6 ft extension segment of 5/8 inch reinforcement bar was added between the chisel implement and it tang. The chisel has performed above expectations for what is very hard material. I have sharpened it once - after about a 2 hour hammer drill work period. It has held a reasonable edge, considering the hardness of he material being chiseled. This Chisel is a performer, worth every penny. It was bought for this job and has been used once. It is fit for continued service. Expected service life should be 150 to 200 hours of cutting / clean up of this hard slag material.

            This is my 2 nd bulldog . I liked the size and versatility of the bulldog very much HOWEVER it burnt out where it heats up and doesn’t work . I put on less than reasonable working hours. If this next unit doesn’t last longer , I will be forced to by elsewhere . Thx
