A: That’s interesting, but I do have the item and it surely is 1 1/8 SDS-plus not SDS-max so it’s an excellent bit with 4 carbide tips, it’s 16 inches useable length but the other 2 inches are in the tool which makes it a 18 inch bit. Definitely a good bit and for sure 1 1/8 SDS-Plus.

A: I don't know of such adapter, nor would I consider its use. You heed a HAMMER drill to do that job; an ordinary rotary drill is not adequate.

Broke During 1st Hole
I thought the bit was exactly what I needed to put 6-8 holes in the concrete. I got about two inches down and the head broke off.. I very well could've hit rebar, but the packaging says it has "5X times life in rebar" yet it couldnt last one hole. I would not recommend.

I purchased this drill bit for my old Hilte hammer drill we had a water leak under the slab. I was able to get the slap open and find & stop the leak. The drill bit was just what we needed. It stayed sharp and drilled out a 1 x 2 ft opening in the concrete slab.
