Finished aerating my lawn and I got off tractor and saw that one tire was about at 45 degree angle. Removed aerator from tractor and attempted to straighten it out, but still not quite straight. Will work on it again this week. My concern is that the twisting will make this area weak. Other than than, it appears to be good quality and did the work for me.

If you are buying this, chances are you have enough aptitude to put it together. Took just over an hour. Materials feel more solid than I was expecting. Core teeth aren't sharp at all, not even a little, assuming they don't need to be, but it's odd as other brands emphasize their sharpness. Ran it over an acre with the mower, 4 bricks. Works great, happy with the purchase so far, results are much better than my spike aerator. Packaging was damaged, a critter had lived in the box... see pics.

So first of all, to the guy with the bad review stating you followed the directions to the T, well know you didn’t. You are missing a bolt and washer between the wheel, so essentially you didn’t follow the directions. Also the guy that stated it wasn’t leveled with the tractor, try reading the last part of the instructions for leveling. So I had only minor issues putting this together and everything seems functional. You will need two 5/16 in sockets to tighten the bolts on the wheels, and I didn’t see that stated in the tool section.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very well built and seems like it will last for years. Directions were good and it took less than an hour to build. It put holes in my lawn as designed. I had a wheel fall off but I did not install it properly once I found the hardware in my lawn. I put it back on correctly and finished the .75 acre lot we have. I will probably do it about 3 times a year. It did help some of my mole mounds too. It was boxed well it arrived damage free.

If you follow the instruction to a T, and have all the parts to put it together… it still is poorly designed. Wheel bolt hits the spikes. First Brinly and for sure, my last. I could never recommend this even if it was a 100 bucks, thanks to Home Depot taking it back assembled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased at a local HD store. Put it together by myself with no issues. It took about 1 1/2 hours without rushing through. Instructions were thorough enough, but I did refer to Brinley’s assembly video on their website a couple of times. All parts were present and it went together smoothly. After assembly, I noticed that the left side spoons were about 1/2-3/4 inch higher than the spoons on the right. Double checked instructions to see if I missed something, but all was assembled correctly. I contacted Brinley and spoke with Steve. He requested pictures, and he was in agreement that it was assembled correctly. He felt that the culprit was the lever handle hole not being cut properly during manufacturing and not lining up with the axle. He immediately ordered a new handle, and axle just in case, and it shipped the following day. I swapped the handle and the issue was fixed. GREAT customer service. I loaded the tray with about 120 lbs. and attached the unit to my lawn tractor. It proceeded to pull plugs approx. 3 inches long on a semi-moist lawn. I was impressed! I was going to try different weight combos, but I felt that the plugs were adequate. One issue that I had, which was entirely on me and my failure to re-read the instructions, was the leveling of the tray. It calls for leveling from front to back (or back to front, your pick), and NOT from side to side, when attached to the rear of the tractor. The hitch point on my tractor sits low, so I used about a dozen flat washers over my hitch hole to increase the height of the front of the unit. Worked like a charm. Easy cleanup after use with a garden hose. I highly recommend this thing, especially since it paid for itself after one use. I have about 3/4 acre, and this thing handled it with ease. It seems well-built, and will hopefully last for years and years.

I recently purchased this a few weeks ago. The materials and the assembly are spot on. I towed this with my toro zero turn and Murray ride on with no issues. I was able to aerate 1 acre with ease and holes spread evenly 3 inches deep. The best part if your not aerating your yard, you can use the tray to haul around tools or bags for your yard. I highly recommend this brand and product if you want you grass to breath!

Assembly was simple and the directions were great. I used 3 cinder blocks for weight on slightly wet lawn and got great results pulling 2-3 inch plugs.

Look at the photo, you'll notice that plugs can't rotate because of the bad craftsmanship and design. Definitely not made in the US, it's a shame for any US company to sell products like this. I can't recommend it.

Started assembling, couldn't even get through first step before problems started to arise. Returning it. Could re drill holes, but if it's that bad right off the hop, I can only imagine what the rest of assembly will go like.
