4-Function Wall Control in White

A:  The top toggle is a 3-way - in the middle the light is off on the unit, then low light on one side and bright light on the other. The other middle and bottom switches runs the fan to operate, then read humidity and operate at a different speed.

A:  Thank you for your question on the 77DW four-function wall control switch. Yes, one of these switch would be for your light. This would be a light on-off-night light on switch. The other two switches can be used for the heater and the fan.

A:  If you mean a 3-way as in two switches for a single light, probably. The top two switches are for the fan and the heater. The bottom switch is for the night light and brighter light (two positions for two different bulbs in the fan assembly)

A:  fits in the standard box used in homes, just take out the old switch and replace it with the new one

A:  To install the 77DW 4-function wall control, you will need to use a 2-1/2 deep double gang switch box with a single devise adapter late. We also recommend that you contact a local licensed electrician to be certain you are in compliance with your local/state codes.

A:  regular size box for switches - deep if possible.

A:  A double, with a plank filler for empty space.

A:  This control is meant to operate 1. Heater, 2, Ventilator, 3. Lite, 4. Nite lite. 1. Is on and off, 2 Is on and off, 3 and 4 toggle between room light then nite lite and off for both at the center position. That is how the switch switch is meant to operate

A:  I had to call Broan to get that answer. Two of the switches have the same power feed, one is separate. Check the amperage draw on each of the terminals... they are different. So the answer is yes, as long as you do not exceed the current draw specs per terminal. I'm assuming you want to be able to turn on the fan, even if the humidity sensor doesn't- why wouldn't you just need two switches. Wire it such that the humidity sensor is always on, and the first switch bypasses it, the second switch would be for the light.

A:  It's a 3 gang switch and can be hooked up to any 3 wires
