Wonderful replacement fan hood
I replaced the original Broan fan in my 1967 mobile home with another Brian because the dimensions matched the existing exhaust. But more importantly because the 1967 fan still worked. I also ordered the plug kit.
This was easy to install once I moved the stove out of the way. It’s so quiet and nice looking!

We should wait a couple years before reviewing, but our initial impressions are that it looks great and functions well. We didn't want to pay $500+ for the super deluxe models, nor $75 for a cheapie, so this may be what we needed. It's our first range hood in a completely redone old kitchen. Fan is quiet. Excited about the light and finally being able to see what's on the cooktop. Contractor didn't cuss much during install, so that's another plus. One odd feature is that the fan seems to take a few moments to spin up. Hopefully, that's not a defect.

I have needed a range hood over my 30 inch gas range for several years and decided on the Broan Convertible Range Hood in Stainless Steel. My area is not ducted, so I have it set up for discharging air into the kitchen. The filters that come with the unit are designed for ducted discharge, so I will be purchasing the available charcoal activated filters for this unit. After using the range hood for several weeks, I am pleased with the features and performance.
Installation was strait forward and I was able to install it myself using some braces to hold the hood in place while screwing it to the cabinet. I purchased a light-weight appliance electrical cord and easily hooked up the wires with twist connectors. The two LED Lights are very bright and the fan is extremely quiet, and includes two speeds with maximum 250 cfm. The discharge louvers are hidden on top near the front of the cabinet and discharges filtered air towards the ceiling. The stainless steel is sturdy, easy to clean, and has a high quality finish. It’s also a great value. Highly Recommended!!

The Glacier Broan Stainless Steel Range Hood offers both beauty and quality along with sleek lines, contemporary style, superior function and is everything I had hoped for. We replaced the white range hood that was here when we purchased our home. What a Fabulous Focal Point to our Kitchen.
Installation went well and with the one person installation, it took half the time and effort. What took the longest was removing the old hood. The Glacier Broan offers (4) vent installation methods, hardware is included depending on which one you need. Use the template before starting and thoroughly read the manual. They have incorporated time savers. We installed using the non-vent install in a framed cabinet. EZ 1 brackets were a life saver, once they were screwed in place. *picture of the one person install.
The Broan Range Hood operates with a rocker switch and has one level lighting with two built-in LED modules, energy efficient, 3 year warranty. It lights up the entire stove top and back splash. Two speed fan, that operates with rocker switch, very quiet, featuring Captur, removes smoke and odors quicker. Since we installed using the non-vent method, we will need to purchase the charcoal filters. The filters are included for vented install. Attractive, Functional - Highly Recommend this product!

This Hood is a replacement for an old, noisy hood. Because I live in an older Condo there is no ducts to vent the Hood outside so I installed this ductless and purchased the optional charcoal filters for the air recirculating into the kitchen. I turned off the electric circuit breaker and installed the hood myself using their EZ1 system which consists of 2 rails which screw onto your cabinets, you then slide the Hood onto the rails and use screws to attach the Hood in place. I then attached the 3 feed wires (white, black, green) to my existing electric feed and replaced the wires cover and filter screens. Installation was easier than I expected. But, when I turned the electricity back on the fan worked but the lights did not work. I called the Broan Tech Service and they gave me the name of a Service Company in my area. These are LED lights which are wired as a factory assembled package. The Service Tech that came to my home had to disassemble the fan assembly to get to the lights assembly and found that one wire on the light pack was not connected. Since the fan and lights wires are assembled as a package at the factory this was a manufacturing error. The Hood is now operational. The fan is not as quiet as I expected, especially on High speed. The 2 bright LED lights switch is either ON or OFF; no LOW. The Stainless Steel finish is not PrintShield and shows all marks. I would recommend this Hood for the average kitchen.

Poor Instructions
Not much point in writing a review when it cut the length down to nothing. Poor instruction/illustrations and bracket didn't pull unit up to cabinet tight enough. Wanted two light settings which it didn't have but never mentioned in description.
