Q:The attachment collar of the 843BL is 1-1/4" long and curves slightly inward at its end. At first glance, this does not look like much to attain a firm connection to.
What is the best method to attach the duct to this collar?

Q:I am using a 6" exhaust and venting my hood range through a corrugated tin wall with distance of 7" between ribs. The 843BL height is fine but I need something to fit this 7" range. Is there another model that would help with this?

Solidly built, tough finish
I haven't installed this yet.
This is not a flimsy vent cap - it would take some serious force to dent. The screen is 1/4" mesh, also fairly sturdy, and mounted inside the external opening.
The damper is spring-loaded, and closes against a foam strip so it shouldn't make much noise when closing. It's not clear what CFM is required to push open the damper, but it's not difficult to do so when I try blowing on it.

Great quality, I have installed many of these for kitchen exhaust hoods and vents. This is by far the most well put together with the internal spring-loaded door. It all but eliminates the noise made from the wind. Highly recommend.
