Q:The wood on the side rails are not correctly placed. If the hooks are to go down over the screws it would make the bed slats sit too high.

Bed broke in first year
I haven't even had my bed for a full year and the screws begin to pop out and the legs bent and broke within months. It's such a beautiful bed so I'm so disappointed in the quality. As a temporary fix I had to add additional screws and tape the center leg even though this is not a solution because it keeps slipping causing the bed to cave in.

Caution: Instructions are wrong
First steps show side slats at bottom of side rails so I assumed the parts were wrong and improvised by moving all of the brackets around. Only to see later in the last 2 steps the wood slats are showing in the correct place at top - had to move everything back. Typical domestic company with product shipped from elsewhere, in this case Malaysia, and the parent company has no idea the instructions are wrong, if they did a proper customer journey, they would have noticed and corrected.

Light Weight
I think we’ve had this about four months, but have sleeping like this for 3 1/2 months. Built thoroughly exactly as instructed. Our bed bows inward. Every single part of this bed is broken lol. I guess we both weigh 400 pounds together. Better hit the gym if you want to buy this bad boy. : )

The material it’s poor
Horrible material, the wood is too thin and cheap, it was disassembled in less than two months, at the moment of disassembling it the whole platform began to break into pieces, plus all the screws are isolated and all the metal pieces bent! Horrible!!! Don’t buy this you’ll waste your money

Very cheap quality for the price it's advertised
I am a huge fan of platform beds because it's simply all we need is the mattress. I bought this particular model during thanksgiving of 2021. After assembly which is relatively easy, it lasted only 10 days before the middle support bar broke and almost hurt us. Worst quality platform bed and I don't recommend this to anyone looking to spend this much to buy one. Save your money and time dealing with home depot customer service.

Don't waste your money
I've only had this bed since Nov. We tried moving it to another bedroom and it fell apart. The base ripped apart from the headboard. When we did have it fully assembled, it would not hold my husband's weight 210 lbs and was very unsteady. I love Home Depot, but this was a terrible experience and I can't get a refund bc we moved it.

good for price point
Cal king with no foundation/box spring. Took 1.5 hours to assemble with 2 people. parts aren't labeled but assembly is still doable, just slower. Feels sturdy, no squeaking. Great value for price point and looks nice.

Great bed! Make sure you look in the back of the headboard for the remaining pieces I had to call to find out it’s all in the headboard! But other than that it’s all
In the shipping on tools you’ll need you might want a man with gripping hands just for tightening but other than that I built my bed all by myself 5’9 140 pound woman!

Sturdy, Comfortable, Looks Nice
Some of the frame parts were packed inside the zippered area on the back of the headboard. My husband and daughter put the bed frame together in about 2 hours. It was a bit tedious but not overly complicated. The parts were numbered/lettered. Looks nice.
