Stay 30 to 40 feet away (the width of the spread of branches) and water during dry spells to keep roots out of the leech field, the roots will clog your plumbing. I had one of my trees too close to my house and the roots grew into my toilet I had to flush salt weekly to keep them out BIG pain having to remember Plumbers are costly.

are they a fast growing tree?

My tree came with leaf rust and all leaves have died.

My tree came with the leaf rust disease. I tried my best to save the plant but within two days, all the leaves had fallen and/or I was forced to cut off the diseased leaves to prevent it from spreading across the entire tree. I put the plant in quarantine and after a week, new buds are finally appearing, however, the new buds are starting to get the leaf rust on them so I will most likely have to take those leaves down. I don't know if this plant can be saved at this point as it appears the entire plant is diseased. I am so disappointed as these nurseries and shippers clearly see and know when a plant has a fungus or disease, but don't care and still ship them out anyways.

I got this plant. I uploaded the figure of how it looks like when I got it. I did give a try and plant it as instructed. It is now about 3 weeks or so and the tree is losing leaves. Many of them are yellowish and falling from the tree. I found in the store that one can buy brown fig (not sure if they were Turkey version) from the store in the garden section with less than half the price of the online one. Unfortunately, the home depot web site does not show the ones that exist in the store. I wish I could get back my money on this one :(

I read that an online seller sold these for double the price so I decided to check Home Depot. The review was right and I got a great price at Home Depot and the tree is beautiful. It was packaged very well, has a few tiny figs sprouting and was very healthy looking. Much bigger than I expected as well. The picture online does not do this plant justice. See my picture for reference. Totally worth buying from Home Depot this tree is great!

Perfect Experience
This was my very first time buying tree/plant online, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Fast shipping, well packed. No damage at all. The tree even has some fruits on it. I’m just not sure how long it will take for them to ripe, or even if they will be good to eat, but I definitely recommend buying this from HD - oh, and how cute is the note that came with it? All perfect! Thank you!!
