Product Overview

Western Red Cedar is unique and prestigious softwood with outstanding physical characteristics. It offers a rare combination of aesthetic appeal and durability, thanks to its natural decay-resistant composition. Western Red Cedars superior dimensional stability means that, when properly installed and maintained, project components are likely to stay straight and flat and resist warping and cupping - season after season. In addition, cedar is easy to cut, saw and nail with common tools.

Might be good for a fish planking
Well that’s 20 minutes of my life I’ll never get back and a bunch of splinters in my hands just to find two serviceable boards. The whole rack was a bunch of junk. Cracks, knotholes, bark on edges, and lots of sapwood. So what does “Select” grade mean? Is it like beef—the bottom grade before it’s ground into something else?

Some boards were warped and knotted. Had to soak them in water then straightening them.
