A:  Check out the photo I sent with my review. The mounts are large, look great, and should be able to mount two hose bibs.

A:  yes if you are installing those hose bibs after you installing the mounting blocks I would back up the block with some 3/4" plywood to screw the hose bibs into.

        I purchased these mounting blocks to mount 2 light fixtures to my back porch that had old cement...
        I purchased these mounting blocks to mount 2 light fixtures to my back porch that had old cement board on it and wanted to put vinyl siding on . they make for a more weather tight fixture and look more up scale than those surface mount blocks.
