Is this the same as a grub hoe? That's used to smack into sod and weeds and whatever's in your way, and pull towards you, removing the sod. Everywhere I look they're out of stock. I don't want to buy the wrong tool. I have some areas that are deeply rooted and have river rocks in there, to boot. Need something heavy duty to clear it out and landscape. Thanks for any input.

No, a proper crocodile style grub hoe is built quite differently, has a curved head and sharpened edge. This hoe is wide and heavy (just like I like em. Mmmmmm butter) for moving large amounts of material, but not hacking through stuff like a grub hoe

How is the metal handle bracket attached to hoe (?) it doesn't look like a very stout attachment?

It’s on solid, I used mine to dig a 3ft deep 110ft long trench by hand and it still looks new. I can’t see how it could break around this area since there is so much overlap with the metal blade on the handle.
