A:  I haven?t had this problem. I repot my starts to harden them off. I don?t put my trays in the sun and I don?t have issues.

A:  Hello, When using these items during our trials we could not duplicate the silicon cracking, so these are actually very hardy. If the item is stored outside or exposed to the outdoors during the winter season, this could cause the material to wear out sooner. So it is best to store these when dry and indoors during the cold months. Overall we have many customers successfully use these year after year.

A:  Use and stow away from sun exposure. Clear plastics will become brittle quickly under summer sun. The silicone takes a little bit longer. I prefer these over peat pots and the black plastic starters.

Q:Will these trays fir into a 10?x20? tray in order to use a dome cover?

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes it fits in in 10 by 20 tray. Also you could just use plastic wrap. When it was tested, it did not need a dome.

These make growing seeds so easy! They hold the perfect amount of seed starting mix. Dampen, and then fill the bottom tray with water and poof - little strong seedlings. Two fit perfectly on standard seed heating mats. I ended up buying more - easy to clean as well.

On day one, I noticed the handle part is already to crack. I really like the silicone bottom idea, but not too sure if it’s worth the money.

                Used twice, then broke
Used twice. The second time while popping the plants out, the silicone cracked on several cells. I was told it has a 90 day warranty.

                  Perfect!
I love the size of these trays. So much easier to handle than the 1020 flimsy plastic ones when they are full. For all those that have issues with the lack of humidity domes....I am using the domes from my 1020 trays. Two of these silicone trays fit perfectly under these clear domes. Alternately, these can be placed inside the black bottoms of the 1020 trays, then the bottoms from these can be used as the top humidity domes. Since I only use the domes until everything in the tray germinates, this method works perfectly for me.

                    SuperSeed tray XL
The ONLY reason this does not get 5 stars is because I WISH it had a clear lid/cover. Other that that I LOVE these trays. I dishwasher mine every year to sanitize them & reuse. I would be willing to buys covers if they ever make them! PLEASE!!

                      Best start ever!
The seedlings are strong and healthy with a wonderful root ball. The trays are sturdy - mine have been going in and outside this week to harden off. I used some old domes when I first planted, but a little sheet of plastic wrap would have worked also. Not a big deal - that only matters for a few days. These are easy to water and easy to pop out! I'm ordering more.

                        Best seed starter tray ever.
I had a similar setup with folding soil containers that watered from the bottom, but the folding part is thin crnkly plastic that is on its last legs. Used this new tray for broccoli this winter. Just transplanted outside and the root ball was so thick, not one grain of soil fell from any of the 32 plants. I highly recommend this tray. I thew away my old stuff that required foam pyramids to start seeds and transplanting to peat pots. This requires much less time and over-underwatering just doesn’t happen. These things are sturdy and will most likely outlast this gardener. Owe, I left out the price. They practically give them away.

                          Bought more for 2021
Bought a Pop-Out tray last spring and loved the convenience. Went back for more and they were sold out. Works as advertised. The flexible cells slide the seedlings out and then flex back into form. The raised rim on the edge of the tray keeps the soil and water contained inside the tray. Would like more size options.
