AnswerEverything has the opportunity to be abused. It's not the device that is causing the abuse, it's a potential abuser. There are plenty of valid reasons to use one of these to CATCH abuse.

AnswersBased on the images, the bottom ground is blocked by the lens of the camera. So I'm guessing not only is the bottom outlet non-functional, if you try to plug something grounded into it, you will destroy the camera.
