We would like to use this system to build a deck on our sealed rooftop. Is a material, such as a rubber membrane, needed under each CAMO block to protect the aluminum fibered seal?
We are not aware of any additional membrane needed. We recommend that you reach out to your local code official and/or the manufacturer of your roofing system to see if it will still carry a warranty with a deck installed on top.
Can these blocks be used to support a 4x4 post pergola ~10' in height?
Thank you for your question! Short answer, no CAMO Block cannot be used for that application. Block would not provide the lateral support that you need. The maximum free-standing height recommended is 30 in.
How many of these would be needed to properly support a 2x8 over a 10 or 12 foot span?

Does it require or can rebar be used to secure it to the ground?
Thank you for your question Joyce! No, Camo block does not require and is not meant to be used with rebar. However, when installing make sure each block is placed on a level surface, removing any grass or loose soil. Can these sit on top of compacted 3/4 gravel base? Looking to put a 2 x 6 PT shed foundation on top of gravel base. Shed is 10 x 12.

Thank you for your question! No, CAMO Deck Block was designed as a superior replacement for the traditional cement block. It was designed and best used for freestanding decks (decks not connected to a structure).
I see a design flaw which will trap water at the base of a 4 x 4 post. Do you recommend drilling holes in the bottom of each base to let the water out?
