About This Product

Hide your deck screws with the CAMO MARKSMAN system. Edge fasteners are hidden deck screws designed for any wood or composite board in a square or grooved profile. Some of the most common deck tops any board type including square or grooved composite, pressure-treated wood, PVC, or hardwoods, Edge hidden deck screws are the best way to enjoy the beauty of your deck top without seeing your fasteners.Edge hidden deck screws are installed on the edge of the deck board, hiding the fastener while protecting the face of the deck board. The rake tip design of the screw augers material as it is driven, leaving you with a fastener free deck surface that is less prone to splitting and cracking. Not only does this system improve the overall look of your deck, but it holds stronger than a traditional face fastener. When a deck board is face fastened, the head of the screw or nail is keeping your board in place. Edge hidden deck screws leverage the strength of the entire screw to hold your deck board in place. The MARKSMAN system makes it easy to fasten CAMO Edge hidden deck screws. Simply set the tool, drop your deck screws in each fastener slot, and drive. The MARKSMAN tool offers a built-in spacer to keep your deck boards gapped consistently through your entire installation.Edge hidden deck screws are easy to install using either the CAMO DRIVE system or the MARKSMAN system. Available in PROTECH exterior coating and 316 stainless steel.

Q:How do I do 7.25 AZEK DECKING

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your CAMO question. The CAMO Edge screws will definitely work for the boards you are using. However, our standard tool (Marksman Pro) will only work for boards between 5-1/4 and 5-3/4 in. You would be able to remove one of the feet or spacers from the Marksman Pro tool and use it still, or use our Marksman Edge tool with secondary spacers. Q:I see fasteners in the deck in the photo. Can you confirm that is not what my deck will look like if I use Camo?

A:  Hello Ricua, thank you for your CAMO question. The CAMO Edge system is not technically a "hidden" fastener system, as the screws will drive through the radial edge of the deck board. With how the point of the screws are designed, you will have a very minimal entry hole, which makes the screw holes harder to see. If you are looking for them, or looking at the deck at close to eye level, you are likely able to see the screw holes. Regardless, the CAMO Edge system takes screws off the face of the deck, giving your deck a fastener free deck surface. For more videos and photos of the finished product, check out our YouTube page! We are confident you will be satisfied with our system in comparison to more traditional fastening methods. Thank you for viewing this CAMO product! -Team CAMO

A:  I'm a Joe Homeowner who used the Camo system to build an 8 ft X 14 foot deck, using standard 5 1/2 inch PT pine decking. It worked great, and looks great. You cannot see the fasteners. The fasteners go in on the sides of decking, just below the top. Sure, if you get on your hands and knees and look in the spaces between the boards, you can find the holes. But that's a good thing, in case you have to replace a board.

A:  You can only see the screws if you are trying to. They are pretty far down the edge of the board, and with treated decking, the wood typically swells over the screw head, making it even harder to see. Would highly recommend

Q:How does this system work on 2x6 ptrw ?

            Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your CAMO question. CAMO can definitely be used to install 2x6 Pressure Treated Redwood. If you are installing a 2x6 board, we recommend you utilize the CAMO Marksman Pro Tool (model #0345001). This tool is designed to fit deck boards measuring 5-1/4" to 5-3/4" in width. The CAMO Marksman Pro-NB Tool is designed to fit deck boards measuring 3-1/4" to 5" in width and can't be used when installing 2x6 decking. Also, due to the natural acidity of redwood decking, we recommend you use our CAMO Edge Deck Screws in 316 Stainless Steel. And, be sure to use the 2-3/8" length CAMO Edge Deck Screws as the longer length screw will be needed when installing the 2" thick deck board. Thank you for viewing this CAMO product! -Team CAMO

              Excellent product!
I recently used this product on a 500 SQFT deck using 1" by 4" Cambara Mahogany, no pre drilling required except for the ends and but joints.i feel more comfortable knowing that the Camo system is actual fastened to the deck, other hidden fastener systems that are not fastened to the deck can fail over time due to expansion and contraction. Pre drilling was a breeze using a 1/8" drill bit set at 2 3/8" out. Directions said to use 3/16" but 1/8" worked good for me.
