AnswersYou can put it in any position you want. Just make sure rain or moisture doesn't enter the wire connection. Perhaps using silicone or some other weather stripping.

The description of this product is wrong. It should say Wire, not Pewter. There is another product like this that is Pewter. This one is Wire. Still an excellent product. I use 100watt LED bulbs. Extremely bright.

You're getting what you pay for. This is an ok quality novelty light. It's very fair priced for what you're getting. There is a better quality cage light available for around $16. So, depending on your budget this one's OK but for a little bit more there is a better option out there.

LIght with poor manufacturing
Out of the box it appeared OK but it turned out the mounting holes were set too far apart ,
Hence only 1 mounting screw could be set .
With fixtures of this weight , that's usually not a problem but this fixture had the holes on the outside trim so it was obvious only 1 screw was installed ( previous fixture had interior mounting holes ) .
The biggest problem however was the mounting hole was so close to the edge of the base trim that it would Not cover the electrical junction mounting box / the edges of the mounting box were exposed regardless of which hole was used .
I suspect the designer set up an appropriate trim width but the factory decided to save 10 cents per unit by shaving the size on the mounting trim .
Of course even with a trim that covered the junction box , the mounting holes error would still only allow for 1 set screw so it would still show the 2nd unused / empty set screw .

Great Value - outdoor light!
We needed two ceiling lights to finish our garage makeover project and didn't have a lot of extra money. I saw this light online and ordered two of them. They are perfect and add that touch that was needed. Always good to check online because there are more products than are typically in the store. Thank you Home Depot!
