Had possibilities but fell short
Once up, the shed looks good in the yard. Before that, its an all together different story. My husband and I put the shed up by ourselves. First thing we did was separate the pieces for ease of finding them while following the step by step instructions. The instructions were decent, but could be better. Husband built a wood foundation up on blocks before starting. Spent the day doing that and making sure it was level. Following day the shed went up. It takes TWO people (three wouldn't hurt) and over six hours to build, not counting the time to try to adjusting the doors. Pieces went together fairly well, and despite the wind and some rain showers, we got the main body up. The side bars that support the two sides had issues. One was a smidgen too long. Husband had to cut off about an 1/8" to get the support bar to fit so we could put on the end caps. The next hurdle and the biggest were the doors. The doors are a NIGHTMARE. The instructions are inadequate and the holes in the right wall support bar that the hinge connects to DID NOT LINE UP! This was a manufacturing fault and whomever inspected it (if anyone did) let it slide. Long story short, the doors did no align and my husband had to figure out a way to get them to even close. It was not the foundation, it wasn't the squareness of the walls, it was poor manufacturing. As you can tell in the photos, he finally had to add wood stints and drill new holes for the hinges to get them to even line up with the holes the hinge connected to. We are still having issues with them (despite all his hard work to get them to work) and will continue to have issues with the doors in the future. The doors are badly designed and there are no options to adjust the doors adequately for proper opening and closing. The holes in the side wall door frame do not have the ability to allow for proper adjustment up or down or even to the side. If they had done this the doors would have worked. Doors are too weak to be adequate and should have other additional support bars on the inside to give them stability and rigidity. Again, poor design and a big distraction from the overall design of the shed. PROS: Easy to assemble Light weight and easy to handle Instructions up to the doors easy to follow Skylight offers plenty of light CONS: Door assembly is bad Instructions for door are bad No ability to adjust doors accordingly Issue with side walls support bars as one was a bit too long and had to be cut to fit

    It’s still standing
We purchased it late October 2020. It took my husband and I three days and a lot of patience to assemble. Prior to assembly we laid out gravel and sand and stomped it down and leveled it out. Per YouTube they said to run thin cable up through beams or rafters of the roof and secure it to rebar to brace for windy days. It’s mid March and it still stands!

      More than 4 hours!
It took us 3 days 12 hours altogether to assemble as husband and wife project. Ours is on gravel and sand tampered down and leveled. YouTube showed how to run a cable through the roof frame and stake it down. As a child I have seen sheds roll in high wind so I definitely didn’t want that to happen to ours.

innovative and perfect DIY storage shed
My advice is take your time and study the step by step procedure, very carefully and avoid installing close to the house(about a foot), and you will have to modify the steps! In general, the shed was fun to assemble by 2 people at least and not advisable to someone with no experience in assembling things!

I already love this shed and it’s only been up for an hour. Definitely takes two people to set up and middle of November in Illinois is not the ideal time to set this up, but it was easy! Took about 3 hours, and the directions were easy to follow. Would definitely purchase another Palram Shed!

Even though I’d read the technical description prior to buying, I was initially surprised at how thin and light the box was when it arrived. The material used for all the panels, roof, and doors is quite thin and flexible. But once you slide them into aluminum frames, they do the job nicely. I was mostly able to assemble this myself, and I’m not that handy. I should warn you that there are no written instructions, just drawings. I didn’t realize till I was done that the last remaining item was to hold the nuts while I was tightening the screws! I’d used my nut driver. I’ve used it now for a few months and it works great as my garden tool shed.

This is the 3rd shed we have purchased and this is by far my favorite one. We just got hit with some amazingly high winds and a downpour right after putting the shed up and it did amazing. Completely dry and in great condition! Oh, the shelves definitely add to the structural support and your probably going to want shelves anyway.

My friend, who is a professional welder has spent the last two days trying to get this shed together. The instruction book looks like an epic novel with about 100 pages of conveluted directions. The pieces are flimsy and many came bent out of shape. I don’t know how anyone can say that this was easy to assemble. It’s not! I told him we should just return it but he already has most of it together (after more than five hours of work). It would have been cheaper and easier just to build a shed from scratch.

This product is great if you want to cover a lawn mower, but if you need to keep anything dry or have to lean anything against it, keep looking. The flooring is overlapping sheets that allow water to leak up through the bottom. Wind will bring rain into the vents at the top and will get everything wet. The panels are just a little thicker than printer paper so nothing should really be put against them. The framework is also not very tight so it will rack unless you plywood the inside for shear strength. If I knew this shed was going to be this flimsy, I wouldn't have wasted my time putting it together.

Most of the 3, 4 and 5 star reviews are accurate: The shed is a unique size and comes in 2 lightweight boxes. At first glance, it is shockingly flimsy material considering the high price tag. But the integrity improves substantially once the frame is completed. The instructions are challenging to decipher at first pass, and there are 2-3 minor mistakes in the printed material. Do not attempt to assemble on a windy day. Be careful with site selection. Door is difficult to line up. Our package came with extra screws, which was helpful. We built a 7' x 13' x 1' level plywood platform anchored to uneven concrete to elevate and anchor the shed. Took us between 2 and 4 people assisting with assembly due to the light wind and challenging site selection. Final assembly was ~ 12 labor hours (one person). I'll be reinforcing one sidewall from the outside so that I can lean heavy items against it. I drilled new holes in the door to adjust as I could not get the hinges to align properly. I'll be using carriage bolts to anchor the shed to the platform and I'll wrap 2-3 nylon straps around the entire structure in the spring prior to hurricane season. Overall I'm pleased with the final product and I'd recommend it to anyone that wants a manufactured shed and knows what they're getting themselves into and doesn't mind the high cost. Full disclosure: I'm completing this review b/c Palram has offered me a free shelf unit in exchange for a review. They did not specify that I had to give it 4 stars. I'm doing so on my own accord.

Love the Shed!! It was exactly what I needed for patio to store all my outdoor furniture plus a lot of items that were filling up my closets. The quality of the materials are good and putting the item together definitely takes time (I put it together by myself which I highly not suggest), but one together it was exactly what I expect and wanted.

I checked many sheds before choosing thus one. The size was right. It is very sturdy. And i thought easy to put together. Well it was but not as easy as i thought. Just dont get ahead of yourself! Make sure to lay everything out and go page by page on instruction. Then its easy. Im a 72 year old woman and put most of it together myself with a little help from 68 year old neighbor lady. Been up for a few months now and very happy with it

This shed is exactly as advertised. The individual pieces right out the box seemed flimsy at first. We immediately thought of returning the box without even trying to assemble the shed. We went back to read the reviews thinking something is not right. Then we convinced ourselves to install the shed. It did take 2 people (myself and my husband) who are pretty seasoned with furniture installations. It took us approximately 6 hours BUT that is because we took lots of "break". Once done, the shed is very sturdy, holds up well. We have had it for almost 6 months now. We also thought the interior might get too hot but it turns out ok. The vent on the back is the best feature. I highly recommend this product. Do know that you need 2 people to put this together. The only thing I would recommend for future production of this item is to pre-build parts of the roof for your customers. That was the hardest part to put together.

We bought this in March of 2018. We live in a townhome so our backyard isn't very big. This shed is perfect for it. It was a little tight setting it up but pretty much took us only a couple of hours and is rather low maintenance. I absolutely love the style and the look of it. It has gone through monsoon season and heavy rains and dust storms here in AZ and still looks as good as when we set it up. I will definitely be using this brand for any of my other storage needs.

Overall we are pleased with this product. We installed it in May and it is holding up well. I really like the size as it is not to tall so it doesn't feel like it is overbearing on our property. Putting it together took a full day. You have to be patient in the process and really follow the pictures in the instructions. I like the clear roof so you can see inside. This is really nice and my kids can get there stuff in and out of it easily. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because the flooring works but I would of liked to see a solid single piece instead of the 3 pieces that overlap each other. We have a little bit of an air bubble under one of the pieces. It still functions fine but just make sure when you are installing and screwing into the floor you have the floor really flat. Overall great shed for size and cost.

I'll admit, when the box arrived and I opened it up I immediately thought to myself this thing is is never going to hold together. The panels were flimsy and thin... yet oddly strong feeling in a way. **Prior to building the shed I did build a platform out of some treated 2X4's and plywood that I painted off white. This made for a nice raised and level surface for the shed to sit on top of. Highly recommend you do this. I also ended up anchoring the shed with screws to this heavy platform to keep it steady if the wind picks up.** I built it on a Saturday with no help so it can be a one man job. Took me all day, but nevertheless I did it with my mediocre at best building skills. My advice, watch the videos, I relied on them during the build more than the directions the shed came with! So how's she holding up? Great! Almost 6 months now through a hot, coastal South Carolina summer and the thing looks like the day I built it. It's even been through some VERY heavy thunderstorm downpours and 60mph winds. Held up perfectly with only some splashes of water getting in through the vents at the top. I was sure in the beginning I was going to have to block them off. But everything stays dry enough that I feel having the ventilation (again summer in SC is HOT) is more important than keeping a few drops of rain out. Did I mention it's a good looking shed too? And the skylight roof is a nice touch. Overall I'm happy with it and based on how it's holding up I think this thing may outlast me!

I did not get a chance to see this shed in person because I ordered it on line only because the Rubber Maid & Suncast keeps being unavailable. When it rain water comes thru & the ventilation wholes are so big that insects & bees are coming thru.... I’ve contacted the company & the don’t really have much to say. So I will be contacting Home Depot corporate office because I’m disappointed that they would sell this item. I’ve paid these people to put it up & now I want it taken down.

The directions were good but could use some tweaking. If you miss something, like the bolts for the roof rail, you may have to back track. Need a good flat level surface for assembly. It's what I was looking for.

I purchased this shed in May 2018. Before it was even delivered, I got a phone call from the manufacturer Palram with customer service contact and hints on assembly. The shed was delivered to my home in perfect condition. The instructions took some getting used to because there is no text, only diagrams. It helped to watch the assembly video provided. It took two half days to put it up. If we did it again I'm sure it would just take one half day. Assembled product meets my every expectation. I especially like the semi-translucent roof panels. No light needed to see inside during daylight hours. A well designed product I would recommend to anyone with even minimal assembly experience.

                                                As advertised
The shed is sturdy and easy to assemble, if you follow the instructions. I assembled in ~3 hrs by myself. The team at Palram reached out immediately after purchase to let me know they were there to support if needed.

I actually built this all by myself. I would not recommend that because there were parts where it would have been helpful to have another hand and the pieces seem very flimsy but once they are up it is very easy to hold up. It was also not helpful that it was windy the day I started. I am sure with assistance it would have taken 2-3hrs but by myself I was still able to do it in about 4 hours and 30 minutes. I love this shed and it was exactly what I needed. I appreciate that it is very sturdy, the walls do not take any extra square footage from the floor. The only thing I would say I do not like is that it does not come with any shelves.

This thing was not easy to assemble. The instructions are all pictures and arrows and exclamation points, no words. The beginning of all the instructions start out with all the different languages that it covers as far as the packing list and then you’re off and running on your own pretty much. I would recommend that you read the entire set of instructions to the very end, that way you truly understand. I got caught up on the roof bracing and some of that stuff that was a little more difficult to understand. Pay very close attention to which bolts and nuts you use and where because there are subtle differences between them and you may end up needing one that you useed on something else, later. The hardware does have numbers, but one bag had a ton of mixed hardware and the numbers are not on those pieces individually. Now, for the overall shed I think it’s great, it looks like it’s going to be great with the weather and the sun and it’s doing it’s job quite well right now. There are a couple of videos on YouTube that helped me out.

Although the construction was easy it did take more than two persons to assemble certain sections. There are many corners and seams that do not totally close leaving large areas that critters and bugs can easily enter. Though it looks nice, the materials are very flimsy and the shed is easily shaken askew. I added aluminum cross bracing along the interior walls to minimize the torquing.
