Q:I have a 12 ft ceiling. The white 24" downrod for DC fans seems to be out of stock everywhere. I need two. Any idea when they will be available again? Should I consider buying a silver one and painting it white? (Black is also not available in 24").

Q:I have placed an order for the DC fan with a downrod included. I do need this rod at 24 inches, however I want to know what other material I would need to purchase to complete the installation,. Will I need extra wires or a mounting ball?

The pin for the downrod was way too big
While the overall product was excellent, double check the contents of the downrod packaging to make sure the items included are correct. We had the misfortune of waiting til the contractor got there to install the product when we learned the pin to secure the fan in place was about an inch too big :( The contractor had to go home and grind the product down to the correct size to make it work. That is the only reason why this product did not get 5 stars. Otherwise its a great product which works well with the ceiling fan we purchased!

We apologize for the inconvenience, the downrod was an older style of downrod which used a pin to lock the mounting ball in place.

Worked great. There were no instructions included but I was able to figure it out. The longer downrod definitely helped increase the air flow. The design of this fan’s downrod and the wire harness are unique and not like other ceiling fans so definitely needed this custom downrod.

My Carro fan was not pushing enough air so I...
My Carro fan was not pushing enough air so I bought the 18” down rod and it worked out just as expected. My fan now pushed much more air as it is an additional 6” from the ceiling.
