Questions & Answers
will these fit on a trex deck with text post sleeves over a 4x4
Hello These will most likely not fix the trex post but your best bet is to take a true measurement of the post size. This light Will fit over an actual 4.25”x4.25”, 4”x4” or 3.5”x3.5” post
what are the dimensions of this product. One of my 4x4 posts is only 2.5 inches from the edge of a brick wall. will this unit fit there?
Hello Postamster - please see the link here to the image dimensions: https://classycaps.com/cdn/shop/files/SLT727_12_DIMENSIONS_4a2f6a4b-9adc-4c8c-afad-cbeaf54e6734.jpg?v=1757597801&width=700 From the post it is just less than one inch.
Is the clear part plastic or glass? I am looking for something with less visible plastic.
Yes the lens is plastic on this model. Thank you!
Can these caps be painted?
We do not recommend painting them however, you can paint them if you’d like, they’re already coated with a durable outdoor finish. Painting requires proper prep (like sanding and priming) and may not hold up as well over time as the original coating.
What size screw fits in the threaded hole?
For the Classy Caps Lumineer / NSM44B 4×4 aluminum post cap, the threaded side holes are designed for the included stainless-steel mounting screws, which are: • #6 × 1/2 in. stainless steel pan-head screws These screws go through the small threaded holes on the side of the cap to secure it to the post after the cap is placed over the adapter/base.
Are these caps rust proof if I choose to use them on vinyl or composite? I really don't want rusty streaks running down white posts but really like these. Thanks.
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for reaching out . The caps are manufactured from cast aluminum, and as a result, the formation of rust is prevented. When installed on vinyl or composite posts, no rusty streaks are produced, ensuring that the appearance of the posts remains clean and unblemished over time. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions, Thank you and have a great day!
Will these fit a 3.25x3.25 wooden post
The Lumineer fits 4.25”x4.25”, 4”x4” or 3.5”x3.5” post sizes. In this case, it will fit but there will be a small gap. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
Does this light have an on/off switch or button?
Yes it does have an ON/OFF switch
