A: Jelmar DOES NOT RECOMMEND the use of CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover in or on any water heaters (tank or tankless); however there is a website that does. Again, JELMAR DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF CLR IN A WATER HEATER. The chemical make-up of CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is not compatible with the materials or components of a water heater and cannot be thoroughly flushed through the water heater after 2 minutes. We recommend using what the manufacturer of the water heater deems safe and effective.

A: Yes, while our product can be used topically on the tub, we recommend that our product be used to clean the entire machine (lines, jets & tub) as most likely what you're seeing on the surface of the tub is also inside the machine. We recommend pouring ½ cup of CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover directly into the bottom of an empty dishwasher (no glasses, dishes or flatware but the racks can stay). Run a normal cycle followed by an extra rinse cycle. This will clean out the lines, jets and tub of the machine preventing mineral deposits from accumulating on your glasses, dishes and flatware in the future. Note: Make sure the dishwasher does not contain any other detergents, rinse aids or chemicals when using our product.

Help! It stained my sink

Was recommended by employee to remove buildup from stainlees steel sink. Used as directed-did not work at all and the runoff down my sink stained it permanently. There were no fumes at all. Any suggestion on how to get the new stains out?

Totally awesome.

My home is not connected to town water supply so I depend on bore water for all washing and gardening. As a result my kitchen sink gathers a build up of Calcium and nothing would shift this buildup until I tried CLR. Worked magic in just seconds. The proof is in the pudding.
