In 5 minutes roaches were running to the bait.
I had a roach infestation in my car, I didn't want to kill the roaches in the car as then the car will smell because you will never be able to vacuum them out. I put the bait station on floor of car at first because I thought it would trap them, over a dozen roaches were already running around the bait. So I took out the traps until I could figure out something else. I went to HD and found the Real Kill Glue Boards, put the bait trap on the glue board and lay them in floor of car. I put two boards out last night with one bait trap on each. In the morning there were at least 3 dozen roaches stuck to the glue board, they had run to the smell of the bait station and got stuck on the board. Perfect combination solution for my problem.

These are Combat Max bait stations for small roaches. The title says 12-month, but that claim is not on the box and the instructions only say 6 months. I've used the bigger baits before with good results and the smaller ones seem to be working well, too. My only complaint is that these smaller ones are difficult to separate from the plastic, making me have to handle them more than I like.

I am super happy with the results from using COMBAT MAX 12-MONTH ROACH KILLING BAIT (18-COUNT). I have been using the product for approximately 3 months now and I have noticed that I have not been getting any roaches in my laundry area or Garage as I usually do around our rainy season here in Texas . I have not been able to test it for the full 12 months yet to see how the Bait holds ls up over time, but so far it is working as it states on the box. And I love that there is no pesty smells lingering from the Bait.

I was having a problem with ants coming in my laundry room somewhere and then coming into my kitchen to eat my dogs food! I had tried several home remedies to eradicate them. None solved the problem. I finally got this ant bait. Mainly because it said it kills the colony. The instructions were easy to understand. I opened the outer box, removed the plastic lid from the top of the bait, pushed down the center and positioned it where the ants had been. I was surprised when after only 1 day and night, the ants were completely gone. I would recommend to anyone!

COMBAT 20 G MAX ANT KILLING GEL BAIT In the package are 4 separate bait pods. The design is so that it won't tip over. The use is simple and easy. You remove a tab on top push the capsule down then press capsule to break the seal. A safety feature is you put the cap back on which protects from child or pet access to the bait. When the plastic container is depleted you just place into the trash.

After watching several of the videos on the Combat Max Roach Killing Bait (on item description page), it made it an obvious choice instead of a spray that kills only the roaches that you spray, versus the bait that the roaches distribute among themselves, quickly killing them all off. Although there is a discrepancy on the length of roach control. The box and name say 12-month, but the instructions on the box and in the item description it says it is only good for 3-months. I am sure that there is a reason for this, I simply do not know what it is. Regardless, I decided to give them a try, I had seen some german cockroaches (smaller sized) by our sink area a few times when I came out at night to get a drink of water, and I wanted them gone. The 18-count package comes bundled in one wrapper, so once you open it you have to put them all out at one time, it would make more sense if they were packaged in a 4 separate packs and then you could use a quarter of them at a time and then it would make a years’ worth of protection. I went ahead and put them out around the house even in areas that I had not seen the roaches just to be sure and to use up all the bait’s in the package. They are all self-contained and child resistant, but even still I put them in areas that were unlikely to be accessed by children or pets as we have a dog that likes to chew on things. I placed them under cabinets, stove, refrigerator and in the back of the toilet and sink areas. And ever since then I have not seen any roaches, so I am hoping that means that they have all died off and hopefully will not be coming back anytime soon.

First and foremost when buying a product that is toxic, READ the warning and instructions, especially the discard the used product part. Living in wonderful NC I experience ants most of the year. I have used products that kill on contact, when they walk on it for example, but have needed a product that will kill the colony, not just a few at a time. This is not the warmest time of the year so activity is a little slow right now. My research show that the active ingredient: Fipronil: can have a kill rate in the colony of up to 95%, ants and roaches. Typically will kills insects in 2 to 5 days by attaching the central nervous system. They eat the gel in the Combat 20 G Max and take it back to the colony to share with the other ants. So little by little the whole colony, or most all of it, can be eliminated. I think that is why you keep a few of these out in key locations. I am not in the bug killing business but do know that most bugs will at some point go to a corner or around a corner, so those are good locations to place bait. In my garage I place at the corners of the garage door and the man door. Since the weather is not hot and activity is low I can only give a 4 star rating now, but will come back and update when lots of activity resumes.

I have used Combat Ant Killing Gel before, but last time I bought it in a syringe for use in cracks outside. The gel worked well eliminating the ants fast! I ordered these bait things because I think the pyramid-shaped container will be more stable than the type my husband was using in the house. He was using a liquid ant bait, not a gel, and whenever anyone accidently stepped on or kicked one of his traps, the poison would spill onto the floor making a mess, endangering the finish of our faux-wood flooring and invoking my husband’s rath. Also, we don’t wear shoes in the house, so the liquid poison would end up on our feet. Combat is a gel, not a liquid so it stays inside the container better. Also, the pyramid-shaped container tends to stay upright even after a nudge or light kick. I think the active ingredient in this gel is fipronil (10,000 PPB) which is safe for use on dogs and cats -- it is sometimes used in flea treatments. I see fipronil listed as a concern for homey bees, but bees are much, much larger than ants so I am hoping the concentration in this gel is too low to hurt a bee, but, just in case, I plan to be careful where I use it.

Its been said that it is impossible to prove a negative, but I’m going to try. Moving to the South 20 years ago, I quickly discovered that cockroaches are everywhere and keeping a clean house only goes so far. I got these bait traps because the cooler weather is upon us and the creatures are looking for a warmer environment – our house. I placed the traps per instructions. I’ve seen no roaches recently and I firmly believe the traps are doing their job.
