Q:Can I connect Bergen Industries 3 feet 16/3 SJTW 3-Wire Appliance/Power Tool Cord which work at maximum rate of up to 13 Amp, 125 volts, and 1,625 watts to this unit wire?

Answer This Question

A:  HI JOhn, The only board that should ever connect to 120 volt power is the portables. Even then I would not advise using any extension cords. That would be a safety concern so it’s not advised.

Q:What kind of wire do I need to wire this parallel to a cadet 6f1500w , the 6f has the btf2 thermostat breaker is 30 amps

    Answer This Question

A:  Number 10 wire, and the wire should be hooked up on the left side as you look at it on the wall so plan accordingly my old one was on the right and it would not fit to the wall lined up that way so I had to rewire, to support heater

    by|Nov 11, 2022

A:  Hi Arnie, You would use the same wire you used to wire the first heater. A 30 amp double pole breaker should use a 10/2 wire, because wiring in parallel means both heaters have a connection to source power they should both use the same wire. Should be a 10/2 wire. Q:What is the max breaker and minimum breaker size can i use on this 2ft heater Can i use a 15 amp or 20 amp 220v breaker

        Answer This Question

A:  You just need to match the breaker and the wire size.  For the 20 ampere circuit breaker make sure the wire is #12 and for the 15 ampere circuit breaker it should be #14.  The heater only requires a few amperes.

A:  Hi Kidd, This unit will need a minimum of 1.5 Amps so I would not use more than the 15 amp dedicated circuit. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  this is a question for the Electrician who is installing it

            by|Oct 4, 2021

A:  Good Day Multiple baseboard heaters can be wired in parallel on the same circuit breaker (check national and local codes for safety requirements). Additional electrical supply wire and cable clamp connectors are required. The thermostat and heaters must be in the same room. If you’re using a BTF, follow those instructions. The maximum amperage load you can put on one circuit breaker is limited to either 80% of the circuit breaker capacity, or the maximum amperage rating of the thermostat, whichever is lower. A:  I have 2 on the same thermostat and have roughed-in for a third so yes, they can be wired together and the instructions are pretty straightforward on the connections.

                  Terrific baseboard heater unit
Quick delivery of a great product & price in the hard-to-find (almond) color that we wanted. A simple install with the good directions provided. This baseboard heater replaced an older unit in our entrance hallway - installed when we replaced the entrance doors. Best of all, it heats perfectly.
