I currently have baseboard heaters in the bedrooms and want to replace them with in-wall heaters....

Asked by Elsie November 19, 2020

Answer

Okay in this case I would recommend using a dedicated breaker. It can work if you are using a 120 volt heater but if you plug anything into the wall outlets that draws higher wattage you could pop a breaker. Best to have its own dedicated circuit to stay out of trouble. Give us a call and we can give you better information 855-223-3887 thank you so much...

Could i put this on the same circuit as my bedroom light and outlets? Using it to heat that bedroom?

Answer

Hello, thank you for your question! We do not recommend putting heaters on the same circuit as your bedroom lights and outlets. This heater draws 12.5 amps so it should be on a dedicated 20 amp single pole breaker.

Can I install 2 heaters in the basement 650 sq.ft. and control it with 1 honeywell digital thermo...

Hello Nick, thank you for your question! Before you purchase a heater, you will need to confirm your voltage. A double pole breaker is not 110 volt and is usually 240 volts. We recommending having 120 volt heaters on dedicated lines due to the amp draw. If this is 240, then you can control two 240 volt 1500 watt heaters on 1 Honeywell digital control. Below is a good recommendation for a digital thermostat model TH114. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Double-Pole-15-Amp-208-240-Volt-Digital-Electronic-Non-Programmable-Wall-Thermostat-in-White-TH114/202909807 http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cadet-Com-Pak-1500-Watt-240-Volt-Fan-Forced-In-Wall-Electric-Heater-in-White-No-Thermostat-CSC152W/205544496?keyword=csc152w

can 14-2 wire to used for a 120 volt, 1500 watt cadet in the wall heater?

Asked by bear January 25, 2013

Answer

Hi Bear, Hello and great question! Yes, 14-2 wire with ground will work for this heater. Electric heat must be on a dedicated circuit breaker, and remember that the wire has to match the size of the breaker. In this case, you will need a 15 amp single pole circuit breaker. This heater will also require a wall can and a grill, and we've included a couple of options below. Thanks for asking!

Perfect for the bathroom
This was for a remodeled bathroom. It replaced an old cadet heater that was still working but looked a bit shabby. The new one is quieter, has a better fan, and provides a lot of heat for it's size. This unit is perfect for the bathroom.

Easy to install. Unfortunately I feel like I replace this unit every 2-3 years. It is used to keep a bathroom plumbing from freezing during the winter in a remote cabin.
