I think this will work well if you can get a very close match on color. I'm planning on using it to fill cracks in an old wood floor before I paint it. I used the walnut, but my floor is darker than walnut and I found the walnut lighter than I would expect that shade to be. The mahogany may be too red. I used a little stain that matched my floors to make the filler darker. It's easy to work with. Good luck.
Yes, it does dry and it stays flexible so that it does not crack. I am very impressed with this sealant.
Yes, ColorSeal can be mixed with latex paint or tints however be mindful that paint can thin the sealant and make it runny if too much is added.
We recommend you clean the surface of the application area, and clean as you go. Press the caulk firmly down on the surface to ensure a good bond, then smooth and remove excess as you go with your finger, damp cloth or caulk removal tool.
ColorSeal could be used in this application if the area is completely dry before application and allowed to dry. This product is not recommended for moisture exposed areas. (showers, exterior use)
