Cap A Tread is a durable laminate with pre-attached stair nosing. For updating carpeted or worn out stairs. Easy glue down installation. Cost effective way to add value to your home.
  • Cap A Tread adds character to your stairs, product visuals are designed to closely coordinate with flooring as there may be slight color and texture variation

      Q:In the pictures provided, it shows 2 types, Type 1 is for treads up to 1-1/8" thick, and type 2 is for treads up to 1-3/4" thick. However, there is nowhere I can input which type I would like to purchase. How do I indicate which type I am purchasing?

      A:  Thank you for your interest in Zamma Cap-A-Treads. The sizing is listed in the description. They are priced per step and packaged up to 2 per carton for shipment. The CapKits, include 1 cap-a-tread and 1 riser. There is also a price difference between the type 1 and type 2 cap-a-treads as well as the capkits. Best of luck with your project.

          Good product but defective
          This is a good functional product; however, quality is not good at all. Out of the 9 pieces I bought, 3 were defective with quality fail mark on them. I don't understand how can they ship something they clearly marked defective and Home Depot will be OK with it!

                The online color chart isn't accurate. I ordered & returned several samples before I found a match. Easy to cut & fit the treads if you're handy with a power saw. A stair tread square is a must. Finished job looks great but I had some trouble finding caulk to match. Time will tell about durability though.
