Highly recommend
Accidentally left it in a rainstorm overnight at work for 18 hours and found it almost completely dry the next day. It’s a very warm jacket and has definitely held up surprisingly well this time. Highly recommended

Great colour almost perfectly satisfied
I’ve had the zipup version for work and it is absolutely amazing. I got the tidal colour for home and the heavyweight rain defender hoodies are the thickest hoodies you can buy. It’s like buying a hoodie in the 90’s before everyone cheaped out and preferred minimal effort while raising the prices. I’m 5’10 170 lbs and got the medium. Didn’t expect the pocket to be so wide since the midweight version is skinnier which i think looks better but big deal. Also the hood is much smaller on this tidal model for some reason

Disappointed
Bought my first carhartt hoodie last year at this same time. Wore it a few times last winter and stored it for six months. Have worn it again this year off and on for the last month of so. The zipper has failed on it shredding apart near the bottom. It is now useless and I've barely worn it. At the price I paid last year for it I expected to be wearing it for years. Totally bummed out to say the least. Poor quality for the money I say.

Poor Quality
QUALITY went DOWN. My 6 year old carhartt hoodies are better quality than the ones I bought last month. Already de-threading. I bought 4 one already has a hole in it from threads coming out and I’ve only worn it 2 times.

Indestructible
I’ve skied with this in all kinds of conditions and it keeps me dry and warm no matter. I got an XL bc I like baggy hoodies but L would have been a true fit (5’11” 175lbs)

Your quality is not what it used to be.
Bought these hoodies. And washed one once and plastic on the drawstring came off. I bought my wife a hoodie also and it seems to be tearing. It seems that quality over all has taken a dip. And i can send pictures to show the hoodie

Durable beyond expectations
Stout — when compared to heavyweight hoodies from a variety of makers and a bit heavy in actual weight.
They're not exactly snuggly like couch hoodies, these are made for work.
As for the word "duty", I have two of these that were purchased as factory seconds 8 or 9 years ago and they are still my go-to hoodies. The elastic continues to hold and snap-back. I've alternated wearing these at least 3 times a week, 9 or more months out of the year, almost a decade of work trimming and shoeing horses for a living and a DIY home owner.
Most durable hoodies i've ever owned, bar-none!
Wear on the forearms is from grabbing the material and pulling the sleeves up throughout the workday.
Rain Defender: I don't remember how many times they were washed before the treatment had worn off, but when it was still functional it would turn misty rain, though heavier drops will plow right through it.
