Had to replace my aging Carrier HVAC system and furnace and got the Carrier 21 SEER variable speed system and it is great. It is very quiet and cools my 3200 sq foot home down very quickly. The guys with ARS did a fantastic job installing it, the Infinity gas furnace and evaporator coil. Very pleased with the new system and it's unbelievable how quiet it is.

Not happy with Home Depot/ARS installation & service
The whole experience has been a nightmare. 1) The unit I ordered was not the unit I received. Although it did appear that the unit they installed was a step up from what I ordered, it did not have all the features of the ordered unit. 2) They did not have the air scrubber in stock, so another appointment had to be scheduled. During the first appointment to install air scrubber, the technician said he was not able to install it due to the way the first installers created the plenum (it was near the end of the day and he just did not want to deal with it, so a third appointment was made) - Amazing that next technician had no issues installing the air scrubber (although I found out later he installed it upside down). 3) Financing was supposed to be deferred 24 months, but when I got my bill it was not. Although not a big deal, I should not have had to call to correct this. 4) Final inspection was never scheduled; I had to call ARS several times to get this process completed. 5) One year later, called ARS/Home Depot about a few issues we have with this unit. They ended up sending out a tune-up technician and not a maintenance technician. The tune-up technician could not take care of my issues (although he had no issues charging their tune-up fee), so I had to call again to request a 'maintenance technician'. The first representative I spoke with did not seem to understand my issues, but we made an appointment for the next day 12-4 (or so I thought). I felt leery about this appointment, so I called back about an hour later. The nest representative convinced me that I should keep the appointment and that all would be taken care of under warranty. The next morning I received a phone call at 8:22am saying that an ARS technician will be at my house about 9am. That technician (who arrived about 9:30am) said I would need to make another appointment for the uneven air dispersion and that the cracked concrete pad would probably not be replaced (even though ARS replaced the original concrete pad that was 14 years old and had never cracked). NOT HAPPY - do not recommend ARS/Home Depot to install any Heat pump/furnace combination.

Bad quality
Built my home so this is a brand new unit 2 years and compressor is bad already do not recommend this product at all by the way nobody wants to work on a carrier unit now I know why

ARS RESCUE ROOTER is totally incompetent. DO NOT USE THIS HOME DEPOT INSTALLER! I purchased this Infinity Air Conditioning system as a replacement of a failing 15 year old system. This Home Depot authorized installer's salesman was most accommodating, arranging for next day installation in the middle of August 2017. I purchased the maintenance service from ARS which was to include priority service with a 15% discount and twice a year inspection and maintenance of the system. The inspections were cursory with little more than a check of temperature coming out of vents and coolant pressure. (Drain line not cleaned and coils not washed down). Starting Jul 27, 2019 the system began shutting down with error codes on thermostat indicating code # 178 INDOOR UNIT COMMUNICATION fault and OUTDOOR UNIT fault. Later a message that # 37 CONTROL FAULT HEATER STUCK ON. 10 days later ( 6 of which were with no air conditioning in mid summer Florida!) and 3 service visits guessing at what the problem was, replacing motor, moving thermostat, etc we again had no air conditioning. I had called Home Depot and Carrier registering complaints and updating them on problems with no assistance. Carrier said they recommend after the first year when labor and parts are covered to change to a Carrier recommended dealer. ARS WAS NOT CARRIER RECOMMENDED! HOW IS THE CUSTOMER TO KNOW THIS? 3 days later with the system out again, Carrier again suggested that I change to a recommended service contractor which I did that day and advised ARS that I had lost all confidence in them and to cancel my service contract. I registered a complaint with ARS's HQ office in Memphis and for the third time asked for a call from management. I am yet to hear from them. This new service company replaced the circuit board in the air handler which was faulty and causing the heater to stick on. The system went out again after that with the same communication messages. The new service company determined that ARS had NOT replaced the low voltage wiring between the air handler and the condenser which is standard practice. There was a short in that line causing intermittent communication problems. The problems all arose from that short cut that ARS took in the install. I am now out of over $1,000 in labor charges. (WARRANTY ONLY COVERS PARTS AFTER THE FIRST YEAR) and have an additional estimated bill for $350 to replace that low voltage wiring not including the wasted money for the ARS service contract. BOTTOM LINE: SUPERIOR CARRIER EQUIPMENT has little value if the INSTALLER IS NOT REPUTABLE. .

Worst AC company
Repair adter repair after repair! NEVER BUYING Carrier again!!!! Two motors and three capacotors later and its broke again! BTW carrier AC unit has a proproetary filter you cant buy at big box stores!!!!!

Aspen AC was wonderful!
I install my new AC last week with Ashen AC, I got a free Nest Wi-Fi thermostat and free concrete slab out side, LUIS ANTEQUERA was my home adviser, very nice and knowledge guy! he maded the loanheat calculation and AIR flow duct system design in my house, now my new AC is working 100%.

ARS RESCUE ROOTER - CONTRACTOR FOR HOME DEPOT for SALES & INSTALLS This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with! Do not use their services!!! RUN - and RUN FAST! The sales person came - presented the company as stellar (of course) when it comes to AC products, warranties, customer service and service plans. We were promised a next day install once we signed the paperwork for the install of the Carrier Infinity system which "is one of the most efficient and comprehensive systems on the market" We upgraded to additional features like dual UV Air purifiers, electronic filters, upgraded wifi thermostat, etc... They showed up the next day and spent the day installing the system, at approximately 10pm they determined the inside system was the incorrect unit and not compatible with the outdoor unit or the thermostat. So they had to order a new indoor unit which would not be available for a day or so... Meaning I am without AC until they could locate the correct component. Luckily they found one the next day in a warehouse and brought it out to install - this was another all day event as they still had issues with the system communicating with itself. After many attempts they connected and the system was working and after 2 days off from work and 2 days without AC in the middle of August it was installed and working. This did not include the add on pieces - like the electronic filters and UV air purifiers... they had to be installed at a later date - so 2 more days of time off from work for them to come back out and install each component on different days. Several months passed and I found that the system would not maintain the temperature in the house... I would set the thermostat on 74 and it would keep the home at 78 or 79 deg. I called they sent a technician that did not know how to even change the thermostat on the wall - he told me the thermostats had been malfunctioning and they had been "seeing this quite a lot" and that I needed a new thermostat but he "wasn't familiar with the infinity system and can not install the new one" He spent over an hour and a half after he could not install the thermostat working with the the system to get it to "sync" and work again. I was instructed to call them back for another service call. Which I did - 2 weeks later they sent a technician with a new model of thermostat and he installed the new thermostat. Within a few weeks of the "service calls" ARS began calling me to set up an appointment to do a bi-annual inspection (check list) and service on the system for an additional $169.00 which was suppose to be included in the original purchase of the system! I called to get clarification on the service and the operator kept me on hold for over 12 minutes - when she returned to the line she said her manager was in a meeting and I needed to call back or email her. I asked her to email me her contact information as I was walking downtown and did not have a way to write down her email. She said no that she had to many phones ringing and did not have time to email me... I asked her to have her manager call me after the meeting and she said "OKAY" and hung up. So much for customer service... Within 5 minutes of her hanging up on me 2 different operators called my cell phone to follow up on my phone call - neither were managers and they just asked how can I help you - we saw that you called. I explained to them I was waiting on a call from the manager and the second young lady said "Tyler is transmitting payroll with accounting and will call you as soon as he is finished" Over 48 hours after I was promised a call back from the manager and no contact from Tyler or any other manager from the company.I even emailed yesterday - and nothing... Not the customer service I was promised when I purchased the new system for over $15K- nor the services I was originally promised by the sales person. Highly disappointed in the company and the service! Patrick B.

Great Product Poor Service
Install was fast and easy but the service and maintenance provided by ARS is useless. Below are my notes of what has transpired over a year. ARS Bought from Jerry 11/17/2017 Install 11/18/2017 @ 10A showed up at 11:30 Install 2nd day 11/19/2017 @ 11A showed up @ 10:30 Wiring install 11/20/2017 11/20/2017 @ 10P compressor rattling noise Turned off unit until technician arrives Repair for noise 11/22/2017 @ 11A called ARS was told arrival @ noon showed up at 2 Low refrigerant Noise returned 11/23 6:30A Repair 11/24/2017 between 9-1 technician called @ noon stating arrival @ 1:30 showed up at 2:30 Could not find any issues Noise returned 11/24/2017 @ 9:45P Called Jerry asking to “make it right” he stated he’d setup for unit replacement on 11/27 Replace unit 11/27/2017 “on their way” @ noon text from Jerry returned text at 3:30 asking ETA he stated he thought they were already here and said he’d call Rodney, no return calls, no show Noise returned 11/28/2017 @ 7:30A Called Jerry 11/282017 @ 9:15A told he would text me Rodney # in 5 secs Texted Jerry back at 10:10 still waiting for # Received “Ron” # at 10:18 Called Ron at 10:18A and left voicemail with my return # Called Ron again at 12:25 explained my issue he stated he’d call to have him dispatched to my house and would call back Rodney called at 12:30 and spoke for 30 mins about issue he’s calling Carrier to ask what could cause issue ARS called 12/14/2017 to and scheduled End of Year Maintenance for Saturday 10-2 but no one showed up Called at 5, Brianna connected me to dispatch who stated they do not come out except for Thursdays Called and spoke to Ron who got me number and address and was calling dispatch Technician called stating he’d be here Sunday no specific time. 12/17/2017 Technician called 12:45 stating he’ll be here in 45 mins tech found a faulty part, fixed no more problems 10/14/2018 called at 10:30am person thought we were in Baytown but made it clear we are in Orange, they still stayed Tech would arrive same day between 1-5 No one showed or called, called asking where Tech was, they could not reach tech but stated they called however phone never rang nor was their number in our recent calls Setup new service for Thursday 8-12, person stated manager would be notified and 9am would be preferred Received call at 11a stating tech would arrive in 2 hours. Tech arrived at 1:00p found clogged drain, fixed. ARS called to schedule maintenance for 10/21/2018. Called Sarah to ensure arrival but she stated tech said he performed maintenance while here. I told her no as I was with him. He did not look at outside units nor inside filters, only the drain. She stated she would call Monday to setup an appt for Tuesday. Sarah called 10/22/2018 not remembering a Tuesday appt. earliest appt would be Thursday. I told her I’d have to call back for a future day/time. Last straw, 1 yr ends 11/20/2018, I’ll no longer call or depend on ARS for service or maintenance.
