Yes the Lincoln 255 will take a 10lb spool, and also the 33lb spools. Any brand of wire will work. Do try the Lincoln brand, they have the best quality.

Can it weld aluminum

Yes this Century, Lincoln welder can weld aluminum. Aluminum welding is much easier with a spool gun, the Lincoln spool gun will work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Century 255 Mig Welder Excellent mig welder. Its made by Lincoln so the quality is excellent. This is my second Century welder, I bought a 120 amp one 20 years ago and it still works well. The 255 is easy to set up and use. The welds are consistent and the machine has a high duty cycle. Overall I am pleased with this unit and recommend it.
