When one of my outdoor faucets decided it no longer wanted to work properly, I decided to replace it.  As it was soldered on, this involved cutting the pipe and creating a new fitting.  I only needed an 11" piece so I bought this 24" section and the other requisite pieces.  It cut easily and went into place flawlessly.  There were no issues with soldering a new faucet on and then attaching it to the existing copper pipe.  Great value, great product.  And I now have a spare 13" piece to keep on hand in the event it's needed.
