A:  Hi, Commercial Superintendent here. We prefer installing it on 16-18" OC, 16" when installed on ceilings. However you can install it 24" OC per the manufacturer.

          Didn’t work for me
I had this installed for my basement apartment. You can still hear every footstep! If fact I can even hear when someone is sweeping the floor upstairs. It’s ridiculous. I used this product along with rockwool and 5/8” drywall on the ceiling. I wish I would have done two layers of drywall instead.

good product, but it's made in Ontario and costs twice as much to buy in Ontario than it does in Nova Scotia??

No cracks or sags in ceiling since installed 23 years ago....
Installed this channel on a ceiling in 1997. We installed 1/2" drywall incorrectly (amateur hour) on the channels.... Ran drywall parallel with channels and only used a channel on each edge (shared with adjacent panels) and one in the center! 23 years later and no sagging or crack.
