A: You're very welcome Eddie! I just wanted to correct one sentence in my review. I miss having a house WITH a basement! As in the Northeast! I would put all my outdoor furniture in the basement through the winter and until the pollen stopped if I had one! BTW my covers are still on. The temps are in the high 80's and hit 90 one day and humid but the pollen continues and the covers stay on and in place (covered in yellow pollen) they did not move with all the wind again this year! You will be so happy with your Ravenna chair covers!
A: Yes, the can witstand ( the material). The straps, not so much since they are not UV rezistant, they willdegrade, disintegrate, rippoff after the first summer in the sun. But material is good so far, it stays soft in cold temps and did not crack
A: We haven't owned them for a year yet but they are holding up well. We also live in the Northeast & store the furniture in the winter. There aren't many things that can be left outside year round and "withstand freezing rain & 3 to 12" of snow for more than a year". At these prices, you could replace them as needed and still come out ahead.
A: I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to answer my question. I appreciate your meaningful responses, even the photo. You have changed my skepticism into confidence regarding this cover. A sincere thank you, Eddie
A: Mine have been out all winter and look just fine in W. Pa>
A: This is the first winter that I have had mine and they held up very well. The quality seems to be very well and have held up in the wind, rain and snow which we did not get much of this past winter. These are a very nice heavy quality. I would purchase again or recommend to someone.
A: Not sure what is met by ‘snow for more than a year’. This past winter was my first winter using them on an open patio in Midwest weather and so far so good. The quality is the best I’ve seen in covers since most are thinner and tear at the top of the chair. These didn’t.
A: I will be completing my third winter season with the first two Ravenna chair covers and my second year with last two that I purchased and they have come through freezing rain, hurricane/tornedo winds, and extreme sun! I live in the southeast and we have a long pollen season so I leave them on until the pollen is gone which is also when we have high temperatures. They did not get brittle or crack from the freezing cold/sun or stain from the pollen as previous brands did and they did not fade. The only thing I cannot answer to is the 3 to 12" of snow that you may experience. The most snow we had is about 2" and it doesn't last long because we have sun year round. I am originally from the northeast and make frequent trips back to visit family so I am familiar with the weather there. But I have decided after going through many furniture covers down here, even the ones in the Ravenna price range, that the sun is more damaging then the icy weather. I put them on in November and will not take them off until sometime in May when the pollen is gone. These Ravenna covers did not stain from the yellow pollen as the others did and my black sunbrella awnings have! .I only hose them down and take a cloth to wipe them off and put them away clean for the next winter/spring. They are top quality! The stitching is strong and tight. No moisture comes through. The many straps and locks are like nothing I have ever had or seen to secure the cover to my chairs! That is important because due to our long hurricane windy season and high humidity, mold and mildew is a huge problem but doesn't even faze these covers! The first ones still look like they were when they were new. Also you wouldn't have to tie the covers down because the straps and locks definitely secure the covers to the chairs. I had to secure the chairs to the patio last year when Hurricane Mathews came through and blew one of my chairs off of the patio but the cover was intact! No tears or damage at all to the cover. Also my patio is open, no shelter for the furniture. I can't speak highly enough about these covers! I hope they don't stop making them and they don't change the quality! I hope this helps with your decision. I don't miss your snow but I definitely miss having a home without a basement!
A: Lasted all winter in Ohio! Durable and looks like new. High winds on the hill where we live and lots of snow. These furniture covers come highly recommended.
A: There are multiple different sizes to choose from and each is listed with specific dimensions for length, height and depth, which I have found to be very accurate.
A: Check the size guide Classic Accessories includes on the product page. I used it and measured my chairs and ordered the closest to my measurements. I used the measurements a little larger than my chair size rather than smaller. The unique straps and locks help conform the covers to your chair even if it is a bit larger.
A: Check the dimensions
A: The overall dimensions of this cover are 35"L x 28"W x 35"H. The height at the front is 17". Please compare the dimensions of this cover to the dimensions of the chair(s) you are trying to cover. A: It is grey/ taupe color- http://classicaccessories.com/patio/shop-by-collection/ravenna
A: I have found that they only come in this dark taupe which seems to be more gray then beige to me. I have recommended they come in black or a very dark grey, as I think it will hide mildew better.
