Ds, the torsion tube is 1" in diameter. Thanks for shopping The Home Depot, The Clopay Team
Missing part and when re send I got only one thing and not everything that I need it
The Clopay EZ-Set Torsion Conversion Kit for 16 ft. x 7 ft. Garage Doors 191 lbs. - 211 lbs. ought to be sufficient.
I don't see why it would not work. As long as the door's weight is not more than 191 to 211 lbs this kit is installed at the header of the door, so it will not interfere with the tracks.
Jerome, you will need to visit your local store and work with an associate to place an order for this size door. You will need to determine the actual weight of the door if it is not a Clopay door. The best way to do this is to release the spring tension and lower the door on a standard bathroom scale located in the center of the door. Thanks for shopping The Home Depot, The Clopay Team
Yes; my door has the foam insulation, 16 x 7, installed in the 90's and spring broke, spring from kit worked and now have some spare parts.
All the components needed for conversion are included. The picture is accurate as to all parts included and pre-drill starter hole for all self tapping screws and installation will go much smoother.
You have to get the ez torsion rated your door. I believe you need on rated for 84 to about 100lbs. You can call Coplay and give them the model number of your door and they will tell you how much it weight and order the right set. This type of torsion set will work great.
I have a redwood door over 340lbs. which springs do u recommend I purchase?
