It would have helped had I not rushed into buying something smaller than I needed or anticipated. I’d been looking at so many and then clicked on and purchased one that was half the size I needed. I’m still using it. There is always a place for things like this. It is no ones’ fault but mine. It is really quite cute. Delivered quickly, and assembled with only a few trials.

Good functional product for the price
This is just a basic functional organizer. We're using it for shoes. I'll have to say that it certainly isn't an expensive piece and that's reflected in the quality. It's the typical fiber-board construction and the back panel is basically a piece of heavy cardboard. I discarded the cardboard back panel and cut a piece of 1/8 plywood to make the back panel. This made the piece much more sturdy. I did not use the included mounting system but it looked like a good, strong system.

very flimsy.
We were moving the piece to our closet and the unit fell apart. The cam posts and locks did not hold the top and bottom pieces together and it all tore apart. NOTHING is salvageable. Inserts provided NO structural integrity. We will not be buying any of your Closet Systems again.
There is no mention that this unit MUST be mounted to the railing system. We'd planned on setting it on the floor of the closet and then putting one of the 2 shelf unites on top. Don't waist you money!!!

The closetmaid wood look 9-cube organizer looks good in my closet. I hadn't planned on storing shoes in them because I was expecting the sections to be a little wider but I will make use of them. Over all I am satisfied.

Instructions and assembly literally say to build it backwards (what they indicate is the left hook literally needs to go on the right). Also the insert for the middle was made backwards - the painted front edge is on the side with the slits. So you either have slits in the front with painted edges, or raw edges with slits in correct place. We chose raw edge and it’s a bit annoying. Finally the width of the unit is slightly different than the sliding drawers from closet maid so they do not stack on top of each other and make for an inefficient closet. These seem like avoidable, sloppy errors.
