Use these shelf clips to mount ClosetMaid ventilated wire shelving to a back wall when you are installing a closet system using the traditional fixed-mount installation method in drywall. The clips anchor directly into the drywall and lock the back of the shelving into place, using 1-shelf clip every 12 in. and 1 at each end of the shelf. Add metal shelf supports (sold separately) to hold the front of the shelf.
Manufacturer will replace any missing or damaged part due to manufacturer defect for 30 days after purchase. Please have proof of purchase for warranty claims. Combining ClosetMaid® branded products with third party components or products will void the ClosetMaid® manufacturer’s warranty.

A:Â Good Morning Marion,
The clips you are inquiring about are for drywall. You can use either SKU# 754600 or SKU # 756100 for concrete installation both of which can be found on our website www.homebyames.com or at Home Depot or Lowes. We hope this helps. Thank you for your inquiry.

Answer This Question
A:Â I used these clips with my ClosetMaid rack that I had originally installed around thirty years ago, so I think they work with "old wire shelving". That's what I have.

Horrible
I agree with Amando. I, too, was awakened by a loud sound caused by the clips snapping. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Definitely not same quality as before
Im not sure what’s changed with these clips. I’ve bought 3-4 sets now and replaced them because they all keep on breaking. Been woken up in the middle of the night with the sound of everything falling off the selves because the entire set of clips broke off. Terrible quality.

Not strong enough
These were suggested by the site when I was purchasing wire shelving with a clothing rod, so I bought them. I installed into studs at recommended intervals. After hanging all my clothes, a couple days later every clip failed and the whole shelf came falling down. The anchors and screws stayed in the wall but the plastic hook snapped off. I don’t know why this product would be made of plastic if it can’t support the weight the shelf they’re holding is supposed to accommodate.

THEY ALL BROKE - Terrible quality
I installed the shelves exactly as instructed and loaded them with about 60% of the weight that was recommended. After 2 weeks ALL of these clips had snapped and the shelf fell, resulting in damage to the things on the shelf as well as thing under the shelf.
Let me be clear - the nails did not come out of the wall. The installation was so strong that I had a difficult time getting the remainder of the broken clips out of the wall. I suspect that the issue was some VERY faulty plastic.

I bought this package to hang a 4-Shelf All Purpose Storage Rack Organizer from the Home Depot in Brewster, NY. I made the 4 holes, inserted the clips and I started putting the pin in. The pin was very hard to insert. I put more pressure but I could only get it half way. I tried harder and I noticed that the clip is now partially in the drywall. I removed the pin and clip with a lot of difficulty and found I left a nice rectangle indentation in the wall. Now I had to patch the wall. I tried to insert the pin in the clip outside the wall and it was very hard. I had to use pliers to get it in and out. I look at another clip and that is when I notice that it was slightly different than the other. I tried to push the pin and it slipped in easier. There are 2 groups of pins in the package. One has 3 harder plastic, slightly grayish, with a round hole and more defined side edges which are about impossible to put the pin in. The other has 4 softer plastic, white, with an oval center hole and less defined side edges which are easier to slide in the pin. Therefore, I was only able to use 4 of the 7 clips and I had to fix the drywall. NOT HAPPY!!!

Open/top side of the plastic is extending and letting metal shelf go so i have to fix it twice! I bought some other support metal from the bottom of the shelf so plastic parts dont brake!
Use the ClosetMaid ShelfTrack Anchors to help you install the adjustable ShelfTrack storage system when you are mounting the hang track to drywall. These help insure a safe and secure hanging system. These anchors are used in addition to the hardware that is used to mount the hang track to wall studs.
Everbilt shelf supports are molded pieces of plastic or metal, used in cabinetry, to support shelving. They fit in pre-drilled holes to form a pegged surface. Shelf supports come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.
The ClosetMaid Mounting Hardware is designed to hang the ShelfTrack System hang track and works with both wood stud and concrete installations. This is the perfect hardware to help you install your ShelfTrack closet. Mount the hang track; add standards, brackets, shelving and accessories (all sold separately). This is an easy storage system to install.
The ClosetMaid White Wall Clip Set is designed to support ventilated wire shelving and can be installed in both drywall and concrete/studs. When installing fixed-mounted shelving, the clips should be set no more than 11 in. apart to securely hold the ventilated wire shelving (sold separately). Metal screws and plastic anchors are included for installing the clips, which are constructed of white PVC for durability.
