        A:  Here are the dimensions for this item:5"H x 18.6"W x 3.25"D. Both are the same in features and they only differ in looks.

          A:  Since this piece is part of a larger closet storage system, specific details are found in the brochure provided by Closet Maid. However, it is 19 inches wide and the hooks are 5 inches high. Be informed that the bracket in the middle is design to clip to a wall bracket much the same way shelf brackets would attach, by slipping into the bracket slots and dropping down to lock in place. I did not use this with the shelf system and when I was shopping for a hanger bracket, I don't recall a different hanger unit so I'm unable to give details of what the difference would be to the alternative unit mentioned. I do believe this piece is longer than the alternate you mentioned but otherwise I believe it is the same. In other words, the alternate part is less than 19 inches wide. My best recollection is this was the only hanger unit in stock compatible with the Closet Maid system. Your store may have a wider selection.             While this is a well thought out unit, intended to be used with other components, I had to improvise it a little for my own purpose. The center bracket is meant to attach with another component of a closet system. However, I wanted to use it on the back of a door so I removed the bracket. I needed a place to hang shopping bags and a few other items we use often and on the way out the door. Hanging this to the rear door (we use most often) places these items within reach and in visual range that prevents walking out and forgetting about those specific items. That center bracket interfered with a flush mount to the door and breaking away the welds was very simple. We save plastic grocery bags but also own reusable shopping bags (preferred). So we hang them here. But it also can hold scarves and even a couple pair of gloves. This has proven ultra convenient.

            Perfect size for controller wall mounts, had to cut each set of hooks apart and mount individually, a bit of bending out on the prongs and Bob's your uncle, no more contollers all over. Now they're hanging on the wall.
