Colmet landscape edging is defined by steel. Flexible enough to form any shape you want. Durable enough to make it last. And while it's a top choice for landscaping pros around the world, this edging is easy for anyone to install. Colmet's precision manufacturing process is second to none, ensuring consistency through every product so everything fits as designed. And, the innovative attached stakes used to secure everything in place drive deep into the ground, resisting movement from frost heave and other types of ground shifts. For sleek and seamless cornering, tree rings, and contouring and finishing, Colmet offers a wide variety of accessories to get the exact look you want. With just a few tools, a little dirt under the nails, and Colmet steel edging, you can define your yard or outdoor space in steel. The brown powder coat finish shown here is designed for long life and superior value. It withstands string trimmers and more, standing up to the test of time to keep any landscape element looking its best for years. Colmet also makes a wide range of other colors and finishes to match the preferred look. To determine the number of 4 ft. pieces needed, divide the linear footage needed by 3.33. This accounts for the 8 in. overlap needed to join each section.

The 4' sections are not as easy of a product to use for creating tree rings. I would recommend using the 3' pre-curved sections that are also sold at The Home Depot. If you purchase 3 of the tree ring sections, that will form the 3' diameter circle. The Model # 14TRS-4GR and Store SKU # 331899 will help you locate the product at your local Home Depot.
Yes, if you accounted for the overlap, 3 pieces of this product would measure out to 22' exactly.
Thank you for reaching out! You may need to obtain more leverage by using a vise or your foot. Then using long handled pliers or crescent wrench grab the stake in the middle and move back and forth until stake breaks loose.
Brian, we appreciate your question! The gauge of this product is 14-gauge. Best regards, Grayson Vick, Senior Sales Coordinator.
In order to maximize the stability of the edging, I would recommend using the stakes to secure the edging. If you would like to install the edging without using stakes, then the edging needs to be flush with the ground. This will allow for the edging to be secure, while not needing to use the stakes.
Yes. You get 4 stakes for each piece. If using more than 1 piece, you will need to buy 2 separate stakes for the end of the edging that don't cover the end of edging. But you could go without, but I don't like the look.
If you are looking to make a certain angle, this can be done with a scrap piece of wood and laying the edging on a flat surface. Next, place the piece of wood where you would like curve/bend to take place. Once that is in the desired position, you can pull the edging back up to create the bend. No specialty tools required.
The best way to cut the edging is by using a standard hack saw with a good, sharp metal blade. Just make sure you wear gloves and eye protection. Lay the piece of edging flat and cut through the thickness as opposed to cutting it from top to bottom. Once you get about halfway through you can just bend it back and forth until the pieces break apart.
