In order to stake sections that have been cut, you would use a splicing stake (separately sold at The Home Depot) as it can be used on any portion of the edging. The splicing stake loops over the top of the edging and will help secure it without using the traditional stakes.
If your goal is to have a clean 90-degree angle. The best option would be to cut the edging with a standard hack saw. I would make sure you wear gloves and eye protection. Lay the piece of edging flat and cut through the thickness as opposed to cutting it from top to bottom. Once you get about halfway through you can bend it back and forth until the pieces break apart. Once the pieces are cut, you can slide those pieces into our corner stake (separately sold at The Home Depot). If you are looking to bend the edging rather than cut it, this can be done by taking a scrap piece of wood and placing it where you would like the 90-degree corner. Once that is in the desired position, you can pull the edging back up to create the bend. No specialty tools required.
There are 5 pieces in each pack. Technically, each piece of edging will get you 7.33 feet because the edging has an 8-inch overlap. A pack of 5 will cover about 36.65 feet.
You may need to obtain more leverage by using a vise or your foot. Then using long handled pliers or crescent wrench grab the stake in the middle and move back and forth until stake breaks loose.
This product is sold individually. It can fit in certain cars, but a truck may be easier.

In order to create a corner, you have 2 options. You can cut the edging with a standard hack saw. Just make sure you wear gloves and eye protection. The other option is you can bend the edging to create the corner. The bend will not be as clean as cutting the material, but it will still create the 90-degree angle.
This product can be bent to form a circle, but it might look more oblong rather than a perfect circle.
