The birch veneers on these panels provide a splendid appearance for impressive DIY creations. This plywood is great for laser etching, CNC cutting and craft work. This-pack includes 10-pieces of beautiful birch plywood.

Contains 100% natural wood bonded with a food-grade soy-based adhesive that does not emit toxic air contaminants

Q:Can you stain these?

A: Hi, Yes, it will hold stain. You should sand lightly with 220 grit or higher abrasion to remove any raised grain. We finish sand the panel to 180-220 grit. Thanks.

Q:Are these good for kids to color with acrylic paint pens like Posca? Or will the paint bleed?

Answer This Question

A: The paint pens will bleed if you do nothing to the bare wood. I have a laser and use this to make earrings with the 1/8” and ornaments with the 1/4”. I use posca paint pens with this wood. But the lines created by my laser stop the bleed. So, the paint stops at the lines. You could put varnish or a clear lacquer on the wood and allow to dry a few days, then it wouldn’t bleed.

Disappointed with quality

I've purchased this product many times & the quality of the last few orders has been disappointing. This order was for 2 boxes (Maple and Birch). BOTH boxes had at least 6-8 boards that were extremely warped. Unfortunately, I was in a time crunch and had to make do with what I received, as I use these for my business. I contacted customer support regarding the issue and they basically said "sorry about the issues, next time try to return it and reorder".

Disappointed with the quality

I’ve purchased this product several times and the quality was never as poor as my recent order. The top veneer layer peeled off on several pieces. Very disappointing. You can see in my photo the glue marks. It’s as if the glue didn’t hold or cure

The worst quality finish plywood

This plywood veneers peels and shatters when cutting. Making finished work look terrible. I do not recommend. Come on HD… for the price you charge. Give us a better quality.

This laser engraves and cuts great, however, the 0.25" I ordered turned out to be 0.19"-0.2". I also ordered the 5/32" (0.156") and it was also 0.19"-0.2". The same with the Mahogany 0.25" I ordered. It is 0.19"-0.2". They don't even sell that size that I can see. I cut out a box with finger joints and stupidly didn't check the size first. That is when I realized the size issue. I then opened my other two type/size orders and found they were very consistently 0.19"-0.2". If the thickness doesn't matter, then this product is great. I will continue to order it and adjust my patterns cause they are very nice quality. The picture is of the 1/4" and 5/32". They are exactly the same.

I apologize that the thickness did not work for you. The fraction measurement is a nominal thickness prior to drying and sanding, this is common in our industry. The average actual thickness will fall within a range, which will be less than the nominal category. This measurement is listed in the product details on the product page. Thanks - Michael

Good quality plywood product for use to do scroll saw art projects. Surfaces lack imperfections, sands well and takes finishing nicely. And, the solid core feature is very good as there are no voids to deal with. The free shipping to home is great and delivery is very quick. The veriety of wood available, in addition to the Birch reviewed here in, is a big positive. The attached photo is a project produce using Columbia Forest PureBond Plywood project panels
