Each 1/4 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. panel is precisely cut to exacting standards in a convenient small size to form the foundation for exquisite woodworking creations, including shelves, drawers, cabinets, end tables, toy chests, wall panels and more. The lightweight, all-wood veneer construction features a yellow poplar core substrate layered in alternating cross bands for utmost strength, flatness and rigidity. - Contains 100% natural wood bonded with a food-grade soy-based adhesive that does not emit toxic air contaminants

Very Disappointed
At almost $20 per panel, you would expect it to be free from defect. But there was a 4 inch spot where the veneer was missing! What galls me the most is that the order fulfillment staff thought this was an acceptable product, good enough to send to a customer. Clearly HD has little understanding of what a good quality product looks like, or how to differentiate one from a product that is blemished. Because my project is time sensitive, I now have to figure out how to make this work. Thanks for nothing, HD.

This wood is very exotic to the color, and smells awesome. I did not like that its not double sided, When I looked at the pics, they had a pic of the backside. so i ordered and no, its only one sided, I love this wood.

Very frustrated. Ordered online. The good: Very well packed. Arrived on time. The bad: It’s cedar veneer and this piece had a large knot in it which meant the inside wood was clearly seen (and stained black). The edges were perfect on one end, but the other end were very raggedy. Cannot be used for the purpose it was purchased for

I ordered it to use as a cedar backing-board for the cube storage unit I also bought from Home Depot. Using the two products, I created a sweater-stacker ... easy to see and access all my sweaters separated by color, and each cube has the cedar-paneled back --- it works so well; am very happy!

Like the other reviewer said, the cedar veneer on this panel (only one side was made with cedar) is very thin - probably 1/8 of the 1/4" board I ordered (see picture), I'm disappointed at the quality.

I've ordered two of the 3/4" thick 2' x 8' panels at this point and I love them. I ordered the first to use as the top piece of a desk I was building. I liked it so much, I ordered another panel to make several matching shelves.
The aroma from the cedar is great, and it's a beautiful product. I'd highly recommend this product.
Take advantage of the custom cuts offered by Columbia Forest Products. They offer precise cuts using a good blade that doesn't eat up the edges. On my second order, there was a slight miscommunication on one of the cuts, and Michael Hale with Columbia Forest quickly solved my problem. They have excellent customer service!
I'll be turning to them in the future for further projects. the ONLY downside, is expensive shipping costs. But, again, this is a high quality product in my opinion. Both sides of the panels are beautiful.
