A:  I would not; I dont believe the handle of a cup would fit in the hook and coffee mugs typically weigh over .5 lbs.

A:  Hi, Brian, I think you would want something larger than these, if they are exactly what I have, they were ideal for hanging Christmas string lights and such, but unless it's a very small coffee cup, I don't think these will do it. A:  No, I hung my coffee Mug above the babies crib and half way through the night, the local train shook them loose pelting my child with the fury of a thousand mugs.

A:  Probably not. There is probably not enough of a gap between the base and the hook for the handle to fit in. It is a very narrow opening. Plus I think the weight rating is when weight is hung from it the other direction as it would be if mounted to a wall. The hook does not seem strong enough to hold a cup for extended time without breaking.

A:  Hey, ralf; usually the refills are located close to the command collection - but when you visit the store, you can always ask someone to point them out to you. Sometimes there are more refills than hooks, sometimes more hooks than refills! Good luck with your purchase!

A:  I found refills at Home Depot. They come in similar packaging and are just the strips. My experience is that each box of hooks comes with 1 backing per hook. I buy refills or extra backings separately.

A:  The package comes with more adhesive pads than hooks which is great if you move the hooks over time. As far as refill, just find strips of a similar size and cut them in half
