Yes it includes the screws need to mount the fan. I used blue LocTite so they can't come loose.

I stripped either the nut or the screw securing the box to the strap. Just spins, can't get it off and it isn't tightened snug. Any fixes, other than enlarging the opening and ripping apart?
Asked by: LB
I think you will have to take it out and replace the stripped part. Thanks to your question, I avoided this fate by only tightening the nuts with a screwdriver-type socket driver, rather than a wrench - so thank you for that. If you don't use nylock nuts I suggest putting blue LocTite on the threads.

15.3 cu. in. Remodel Construction Ceiling Fan Brace with 1-1/2 in. Box is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 152.

Only has 2 knock-outs on top and 1 knock-out on each side - would be better with 2 on each side. Knock-out holes were a little too large for plastic inserts - so I had to use threaded/nut inserts to clamp the Romex. Insertion depth into drywall seemed okay, but it is easy to make the hole too large in diameter. Wiring 4 Romex connections (if you have many lights on the same feeder circuit) and the fan takes the most time (and trips into the attic) - much more than installing the box.

Slid it in place and tightened it down. Removed it and reinstalled it again after drilling mounting holes in the legs for #10 screws. The carton specifically says fan capable when mounted with #10 screws. In an old work case like I had you will only be able to screw one side in.

It reduces the demolition of the area of interest to gain access to the wiring and framing to mount the fixture support. Time and effort is greatly reduced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in the last 12 months I've installed over 20 ceiling fans and this is the fan support I used every time. Aldo works on vaulted ceilings ,you need to install a longer down rod,12" usually gives you the clearance you need.
