Q:Where can I obtain a replacement switch?
by|May 8, 2020

Answer This Question

A:  In the olden times you could get such things at RadioShack... nowadays you will need to go to an electrical supply house. You can check the electrical department at Home Depot but things there do tend to be less for individual appliances & more for construction type work

by|May 20, 2020

A:  You can take the old switch to Home Depot Lighting area by the ceiling fans, go down to the first open cross aisle and there are drawers on the end cap filled with all types of pull switches and actuators. You should be able to find what you need there. If not, the switch should have a number on it. You can always check the Home depot website for availability.

    by|May 16, 2020

A:  I am not at the location (winter home) where the light is installed. Home Depot or any hardware/electrical supply should have the switch.

      by|May 15, 2020

A:  For replacement options please contact your local home depot store.

Q:does it have a removable starter fuse?

          Answer This Question

A:  No idea, I have 8 of these in my shop and the only thing I've had to do is replace bulbs...I can tell you this much tho, if there is an included fuse or breaker, its not visible from the outside. If you stop for a moment and consider you question, do you really expect to see such a feature on a $20 light fixture?...highly unlikely...

          by|Jan 4, 2019

            A:  No - all LEDs

            by|Dec 29, 2018

            A:  NO - HAS NONE

            by|Dec 30, 2018

A:  Not that I know of. It seems to be just the plain old ballast system.

A:  I bought 2 of these. No problem so far with the bulbs that came with them.

              by|Nov 6, 2018

A:  You need to move watch YouTube videos to rewire light to use LEDs picture shows how i got mine to work

              by|Nov 6, 2018

A:  I believe you have to rewire, LEDs need pos and neg and i believe only on on end, check YouTube, they have videos that will show you how

                by|Nov 6, 2018

A:  No, I used "Toggled" brand LED bypass type bulbs also available at Home Depot. They work great but you do have to follow the instructions on how to bypass the ballast.

A:  The unit takes T-8 bulbs.

A:  I think they were T12, but not positive. The light fixture is installed at our Winter home in Florida. We won't be there until early January.

A:  These fixtures require 2 T-8 bulbs to operate properly.

For the money, these things aren't too bad. Installation took just a minute or two, bulbs snapped in easily. It's a light gauge metal but it's a ceiling light so I figure that no one is going to be handling it.

This light works perfectly over my new work bench. Solid lighting and durable. I like the length and overall lighting it puts out. I've had it for a week now and I've told 3 people about it. It's everything I was looking for.

2nd unit has now failed. Will have to order a replacement Ballast on-line. Funny thing is that the ballast costs more than I paid for the entire assembly. It is a shame that I am just past the warranty period by just a few months. I will order spares.

Constantly replacing bulbs, and can't handle LEDs
What a waste of time and money. I loved the industrial and simple look of these, ran two rows of them in my storage/utility room. Replaced one right away because it kept going out. A couple years later I'm throwing out all of them, they burn through bulbs or just stop working randomly. And they can't do replacement LEDs at all, they turn on for one second then go off. I replaced them with a similarly priced set that works with LEDs.

Perfect lighting for my garage. I used LED bulbs for lighting. Funny thing is unless you need a lot of light, one LED worked by itself saving even more on energy. Best thing is that when the bulb goes I just buy a new one. The only way you can get this light is by homedepot.com. They are not sold in the store.
