With a lower profile than the standard fixture this works great with joists that are less than 2x12 and will fit in 2X8 framing. The airtight housing works well and the "safe for insulation contact" is a comforting safety measure. It is very easy to install and the quick connector for the electrical connection works great and saves time and effort. I have used these before at my house and clients and I do recommend them.

We redid some of the plumbing in our house which required us to remove part of the downstairs ceiling to gain access to the pipes. This was the perfect time to install the recessed lighting that we wanted and these were the perfect price for a 6-pack. We were able to get all of these installed in no time and they wired up with ease. They function as you would expect and we have had no issues so far with daily use for about 2 years now.
