I am really impressed of the quality of this Commercial Electric cutter and crimper. I don't care for the squeeze type of crimpers and their cutters have less than satisfactory cutting ability, especially with stranded wire.
This Commercial Electric set will correctly dimple an insulated or non-insulated of most common terminal sizes. A 10-12 insulated terminal doesn't rest in the "V" of the crimp jaw, but the crimp is still a good crimp!
And for cutting wire, GREAT! A good clean shear. The cutter jaws are sharp and hardened and effective for stripping wire insulation
I really appreciate the heavily insulated handles. They are comfortable in-hand for grip and cutting. A great well made tool that exceeded my expectations!.

This is a very nice tool to have especially for those who do electrical repairs and they are very useful around the house and at work. I really like the heavy duty rubber handles for a secure grip when cutting wire or crimping electrical fittings. I replaced my other crimpers with these. My other tool has flimsy rubber around the handles and had holes around the tip of the handle. This tool is well built and will crimp insulated and non insulated butt splices, sta-cons and other fittings. Also the wire cutter at the tip of this stool comes in handy. Remember to turn off power when working on live circuits.

Moved into a new home that was not cable ready. Tried adding connectors with a standard linesman pliers, but not successful. This tool was worth the price because you can cut the cable, strip the wire, crimp the connector, and cut off the excess with one tool.
The tool fits into big hands easily, and feels comfortable when using. Was able to keep in my pocket when I crawled around the attis installing connectors.

There’s absolutely nothing bad to say about Commercial Electric’s 9.75 inch Crimping Tool with Cutter. For starters, little effort is required in order to get the head open far enough to get a part inserted or to make a wire cut. Machined well, there is no slop in the hinge and yet, minimal effort is needed for operation. Crimping both insulated and non-insulated connectors again, requires minimal effort and even trying to over crimp, the head design will not pierce the connector skin. Ergonomically pleasing, the comfort grip handle feels of semi-rubbery like material again, that’s pleasing. The cutter head will cut wire (as tested) as small as 20 awg clean and (as tested) 12 awg solid copper also clean. Now, I did attempt, just for kicks, cutting 4 awg stranded & 12/2 (3 wire) in its casing and that was a no go. These are, without question, a great set of crimping/cutting pliers...two thumbs up!

These crimpers work well. My favorite part is that the handles are ergonomically correct. This makes it comfortable to grip and easy to use. They have an anti-slip grip that includes a small node to keep you hands from slipping up. It can crimp both insulated and non-insulated terminals and connectors between 10-22 AWG. Another must have feature is the specially-hardened steel wire cutter in nose.

Solid, heavy duty professional standard tool. This is a tool I would use for simple jobs around the house and it is replacing a very old similar tool that no longer worked very well. The crimper appears to be insulated with heavy duty rubberized handles, Despite its larger size, it fits well in my hand and it offers a comfortable grip. The drawback is its weight.

The thing about online ordering is, sometimes you are surprised by just how big and heavy-duty an item turns out to be. We all know what 9.75" is, but it's not until you hold this crimper in your hands that you realize just how much bigger it is than a 'regular' 8" crimper. It allows you to crimp insulated or uninsulated terminals (one size each), and has a wire cut/trim edge. I use some heat-shrink-jacked terminals, they can be a bit of a pain to crimp with 8" crimpers because they heat-shrink jacket is very tough. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the extra leverage from these 9.75" crimpers crimped through them with ease.
