Anyone used this on a 65 inch? I ordered a new TV, upgrading from 55 to 65. Its lighter than max ...

Answer

Have not done this but have a two part comment. First , if the brackets are securely drilled into studs and are firm on the wall, not hung with anchors in drywall, it will most likely easily hold a 65" tv as long as the weight does not exceed the max, which you said it did not. Secondly, and more importantly, tv's have screw ports on the back which are there to accommodate bolts from the bracket. If the screw ports are spaced too wide on the tv so they don't line up or are beyond the space covered by the existing bracket , you cannot use your old setup. In that case just find longer brackets and if the old ones were indeed embedded into the studs, just replace the old shorter ones with new longer brackets.

Does it come with nails

No. Do not use nails. Use screws, preferably into the studs.

This is my second time purchasing this type of TV mount. Though you have to hammer a lot of nails into the wall, it works like a charm and it’s very easy to install. I have a 47 “ TV and I was able to install and mount by myself. No need to look for studs in the wall, no need to put anchors in the wall and no need to find a handyman because it was easy enough for this 53 yr old female to do alone. The nails are definitely sufficient to hold the TV. I would recommend this product over and over again!

Super close to the wall be prepared to build it out by a 2x4. Without it your cords will be pressed up against the wall causing the tv to have a wierd angle.

this was this 7th time I have mounted a tv on the wall using many different types of mounts. This was by far my favorite. When I think back on th last one where I had to use 4 huge lag bolts and that huge steel frame mounts, it was way overkill. This is right on target; one light bracket on the top two VESA holes and two spacers on the bottom then one bracket screws into the wall with two decent sized screws. The end result it sits very close to the wall but not too close where the wiring in the back gets in the way (HDMI, power, cable, etc). Temporarly set it on a table with oneone else holding/balancing it there while you connect and bundel up the cables with twistes and use 3M command strip to hold it to wall so they dont fall in sight later. snap the TV on and your done. Get the height right (bottom tv about 8 in below eye level on a 50"), if you cant get a different mount with tilt.

This product worked perfectly for an older 32" tv we wanted to hang onto the wall in our daughters room. The price was fair and installation was super easy. It only took 20 minutes to level, mark, drill and attach.

Easiest TV mount I've ever put on!
I hung up my 50in LG TV on top of my fireplace. it weighed 58lbs. I've tried other TV mount products in the past and they are such a hassle with confusing instructions. This one is quick and easy, put one bracket on back of your TV (note it comes with various different size screws for all types of TV's) and then I used a leveler to hang the other bracket where I wanted it. The product comes with a small leveler piece but since I was hanging the TV so high I was having a tough time seeing if it was level or not, so I just brought out my own leveler just to be sure. Once I had an idea of where I wanted to put it, I did use a stud finder because although no studs are required for this, a stud would make it studier. There was 1 stud right smack in the middle so I drilled one of the stud nails into that one. For the rest of the bracket I just used the hammer nails as described. I needed help lifting up the TV to the wall bracket, but once on, laying it on the bracket was a snap and TV is amazing very steady in its position now. I would highly recommend this product and I will never buy anything but this product for future TV wall hangings. Now all that's left for me to do is line up the cables nicely against the wall with cable clips so the wires won't look so dangly.

2nd one didnt go as well
this is my 2nd one of these i have used. 1st one on a Samsung tv. quick and easy. 2nd one for a 43" TCL tv from costco. tv was hard to hang. very cheap screw holes.

great for impenetrable studs or studless wall
My studs are steel and my drill would not penetrate. This was perfect and easy to install without the use of a drill or studs. Ive been using it a month so far. It hasnt budged, wobbled or anything. Using a 32" tv. High recommended.
