No more ladders to climb. Recessed Lighting LED powered trims from Commercial Electric offer glare-free lighting and the option to change the exterior trim ring to match your decor. Recessed lights come with a white trim ring, but you can purchase brushed nickel or oil rubbed bronze separately in stores or online. These retrofit -without tools or wiring- into most 6 in. IC and non-IC recessed housings using the screw-base adaptor included. They are compatible with most LED rated dimmers. LED powered recessed lights offer high quality light using 80% less power and there are no bulbs for you to replace. They are designed to be air tight to prevent heating and cooling losses and they can be installed in wet locations. This model is designed with a higher light output for tall ceilings.

This LED can trim is very well thought out. The trim ring is steel and attaches to the rest of the fixture magnetically, which makes it very easy to change out with other colors of trim rings which you can buy separately. It also makes it easy to remove and paint a custom color and then reattach. It is listed at 1050 lm and this appears to be accurate. It is a very bright can trim, and is suitable for use on higher ceilings, or regular 8 foot ceilings where are you want extra light. It is a wide flood beam spread, actually over 90° wide. The color temperature is 3000 K which is my preferred color of light . It isn’t yellow or blue, just a clean white. Installation was quick and easy as is typical with LED can trims. It comes with parts to install with the usual spring clips or friction fit.

If you are looking for an easy soft-white LED retrofit for a 6 inch can light (also called a downlight or recessed light) look no further. This light fills the need plus a few nice features - 75 watt equivalent using only 15.6 watts, 1050 Lumens, 5-year warranty, dimmable, rated for wet locations, and IC rated for direct contact with insulation. However, one of the nicer features is the ability to change the trim-ring from white to brushed nickel or bronze as they are magnetically held in place - trim rings are available from Home Depot. Installation is simply removing the old bulb from an existing can light and screwing in this replacement. It can be attached using spring clips or friction brackets (hardware for both ways are included). The color temperature is measured as 3000K.

This commercial electric high ceiling 6" white ceiling light will be just perfect over our new shower to go in the basement. The ceiling is 9' tall and since this light is rated for wet areas, it will be a perfect choice. If we wanted, we can also buy new trim rings for this fixture. That is a help, and we may decide to change the rings. This is one of the fixtures where the light is integral to the fixture. No light bulbs. The manufacturer says the fixture will last 34 years. Since we are an older couple, some future homeowner will have to verify that information! Installation looks easy, and on the Home Depot site for this item, there are installation instructions on the right side. To connect the fixture to an incandescent housing, you simply screw the adapter into the socket. The fixture is secured in the housing using either the torsion springs or friction blades, both of which are supplied.

The commercial electric trim kit is a great buy. The trim ring is easy to install and retro fit old incandescent build to led technology. Just simply reach up and pull down the trim kit and unattach the socket from the trim ring. Then just unscrew the buld and screw in the adapter on the trim kit and push back up to the ceiling and your all done. With it being led now you won't have to touch again for another 10,000 hours of use.

The Commercial Electric high ceiling 6" white integrated LED recessed with changeable trim ring saves you time, money and is super easy to install! The LED light is the equivalent of a 75W incandescent bulb but only uses 15.6W. It is rated at 1050 lumen, 3000 K (pushing the limits between bright white and warm white) and has a 5 yr. warranty. It is also rated for "wet locations" which is very important if that is a need. It is just as easy to install as a "regular" light bulb -when screwing the base in, I strongly recommend disconnecting the push plug connection so you are not hampered by spinning the unit as you turn the base. The LED assembly is secured in the same manner that the typical trim ring is but the super convenient feature of this light is if you want to change the trim ring, you simply pull it off because it is secured by magnets adhered to the LED assembly. This is a very bright light that can be used with a dimmer switch, is super easy to install and looks great! I highly recommend it.,

Lights have been in service in my kitchen for a couple of months.
Product is well designed mechanically. Construction exceeds anything else I have seen. I really like the magnetic trim. The light is an attractive alternative to traditional can lights. It is super easy to install. Light output is really good at highest setting on 10' ceilings
The only downside is that on a rare occasion I see flickering. 9 lights on same Lutron Caseta smart dimmer and all flicker at the same time. I can change the level of dimming and the problem immediately goes away. I hope this doesn't become more pervasive over time!
I wish I could find the identical product in a lower wattage for rooms with 8' ceiling.

New one works fine, I bought a previous identical one...
New one works fine, I bought a previous identical one at Home Depot & it lasted less than 1 year & it states it is suppose to last 50,000 plus hours. I bought this one to replace the previous faulty one. Not happy about it but I had to purchase unless I replaced the entire light fixture.
